Euro 2020

I wouldn’t be devastated with a draw Friday, pretty much would guarantee us qualifying.

Scotland overhyping themselves before a major tournament. Big surprise.

It’s typical of Scotland tho, I guarantee they’ll be much better Friday.

Felt for them a bit. Played well, created chances but just couldn't find the quality at the end. Should have started with Adams and seemed to pick a slightly negative team rather than giving it a proper go, which he probably regrets now.

I don't think we have anything to worry about in this group, although they'll be right up for it on Friday now.

Time for one liners like “Scottish players are much more passionate to play for their country than English players are”

Thought Scotland were a bit unlucky, probably the better team but missed their chances while CZ stuck theirs away. Think they had to win that or at very least draw to give themselves a chance of qualifying. No doubt they'll raise their game Friday, I'm expecting 1-1.

Why are they all struggling with why its an OG from the keeper? Standard to be given as an own goal as the initial shot wasn't on target (although whoever is doing the co-comms seemed to think it was) and only went in because of the keepers back

Poland equalise 30 seconds into the 2nd half

I think they've just shown that the shot was on target, but got a deflection onto the post before it went in off Szczesny. Interesting argument.

Struggling to get into this tournament. When I'm watching football I want 1 of 4 things:
A dog in the fight. Could be something affecting Wolves, a team I don't like, or an old fashioned underdog
Something really riding on the game
2 top sides playing against each other
I've had a bet

It's just bloated. 16 was the correct number

No argument for me. Shot hit the post and came out, thats where the chances of the goal being his ended.
If a shot that starts out on target gets deflected by more than one player, is it still credited to the shooter? If so, then is this really so different? (Yes, I know the post isn't a player, but the players are also arguably sometimes just 'obstacles that change the direction of the ball' in these circumstances.)

It’s coming back out of the goal after hitting the post therefore the attacker hasn’t been able to score and the ball is moving away from the net, that’s just physics. So without the keeper intervention it wouldn’t be a goal. It’s an OG.

If the keeper had got his hand to it and it went in - attacking players goal. On this one, it wasn't so much a deflection off the keeper, it changed the direction of the ball completely and sent it back to where it came from. I know the desire is to give it to the attacking player and sometimes a shot across goal that hit a player or 2 is still given as theirs but once the ball comes away from the goal it can't be his
