You can't just not criticise someone because you like them, he should have got rid of it before he slipped. This is my worry with him, I don't want him doing that in an important game - if nothing else it could ruin his future confidence if he got absolutely slated for it
I don't think he should of got rid though. He should have played it back to Forster imo, taking on his man was an option and if he doesn't slip he's setting us on our next attack. Walker should have been 5 yards deeper for the square pass but wasn't. Stones didn't make an error, he slipped.
Then look at him coming out of the back to play that pass to Walcott, it should be encouraged because that's what he's good at not discouraged because the old way to play is to boot it as a centre half.
