Sturridge has been poor so far, but there is always an extra gear in him, it depends if he can be bothered to find it.

I wouldn't say he takes risks, he's just a footballer who wants to play out from the back. He's basically our Pique who sticks out because none of our other defensive players look comfortable on the ball and don't offer good enough options when he has it. He's learning defensively still but he's young and that will come.

I'd rather he was better defensively and wasn't as pretty to look at on the ball personally but he has just started the move that we scored from with a lovely pass!
