Edwards out for a while.

I'm not sure he would, I think he knows he'll never manage a bigger club than this. We never get the timing of sackings right, we always let them linger on just too far to do some damage. I hope it doesn't come to that but I don't think the club will look at it for ages yet. Colin Lee lasted almost until Christmas and we were truly woeful for months.

Don't think we have got to that point quite yet, but if considered necessary then late Oct/early Nov is the latest we should leave it to allow appointment & time for the new Manager to evaluate players before the Jan window.

I think it would be madness to sack KJ.

Anyway, regarding the thread title, it is very disappointing for Edwards. He may have his limitations, but he always gives his all for the team. Hopefully he is soon back to full fitness.

We've got some very winnable games coming up. Ken will be fine up until Jan which will be a huge window for him.

As for potential managers, Jackie McNamara, Keith Downing, Chris Powell, Karl Robinson or (shock horror) Derick McInnes would be good shouts.

Hopefully this means McDonald next to Price with a number 10 infront of them(Wallace). We are crying out for that number 10.

I've always been impressed with what I've heard from McInnes and McNamara in interviews, obviously their results speak for themselves over the last few years too.

McInnes was diabolical at Bristol City tbf.

I could get on a McNamara bandwagon if Rowett was a no go.

If McDonald is to play then needs Price there too provide the shield.

McNamara not a bad option if it comes to it

Seemed from the Ken video interview earlier that Price is either fit now or very close to being so.

No way to Karl Robinson, whining MowbrayLite twat.

You would get a double whammy if Sam came "home".......Nolan would be with him.

If the above happens, I am switching the internet off BTW

A guy near me on Saturday was saying we should sign Nolan as he's available and he's exactly the type of player we need apparently. Maybe we could talk Kevin Davies out retirement while we're at it.

If we played 4-2-3-1, Edwards were injured and we didn't own Wallace then he might be worth it in his goal hanging, ref bothering way. As it is, no, as we'd pay a lot of money for a truly terrible footballer - same applies to Ameobi, I will be mortified if we sign that shitehawk.

Nolan could give Captain Dave some finishing lessons I suppose. It would be helpful to have more than 1 in 10 gilt edged chances being on target.

Rowett I think is a very good manager. I like Lee Johnson at Barnsley, big fan of the way he sets his teams up based on what I've seen of games involving him and also from interviews.

We have an important run of games coming up now. I'm worried we aren't prepared for them but I really hope KJ can sort us out

I find it all very depressing and just a bit irritating that we're starting to discuss Jackett leaving.

We're having to do it because he's got us playing 1987 football and not in an effective way. Also because he keeps making bizarre selection decisions. Then off field stuff like Edwards having his deal extended and being captain and mainstay, Doherty getting a four year extension, a terrible trialist in Ameobi being genuinely considered, I'm not sure what else we're meant to do. 8 points from 7 games and outright weird stuff going on, it has to be questioned.

It goes without saying that I and everyone else would rather we didn't have to discuss the manager's position, but we're approaching the point where we do.

It's a problem KJ has rated for himself though isn't it? Casting out the formation and players that served him well last season, sako aside, we could have played the first game this season with the side that ended last year. Changing one or two players as games progressed and introducing "the rhombus" if needed. Instead he has chopped and changed players and shoe horned DE in any way possible.

I like DE but he is in no way, shape or form a regular starter imo. Difficult away games or 15-20 mins to go chasing or trying to hold onto a lead are his forte. A left winger he is not!

Hope he is fit soon, but that the team goes on a winning run so he isn't thrown back into the team at the first opportunity.

Surely Rowett wouldn't leave Blues to come to us.

I do think Jackett is struggling this season and it's showing what a good player Sako was for us and masked what an average side we are without him.

If we lose the next three I suspect we will be in a relegation battle rather than a promotion push.

Jackett being a Moxey choice - we'll hold onto him way passed his sell by date.

Absolutely. He is rightly being questioned and scrutinised, equally he deserves another few games before his job should be under threat

Really? Three more without winning....

I'm merely playing devils advocate, as I despise changing managers too often. But I have my doubts.

I think we are still a more attractive proposition than Blues, but not enough to persuade him to come here.
