This could be the game... I’m hoping to be there, as it’s our dedicated fixture for KIck It Out so trying to blag tickets and be the representative that goes!

My team would be:

Ruddy

Bennett
Coady
Boly

Doherty
Neves
Saiss
Douglas

Costa
Jota
Cavaleiro

I think Nuno will start Afobe ahead of Jota though, to have more of a focal point.

Derby have picked up slightly after getting thrashed by a Sunderland but that included one of the most fortunate wins I have seen against Preston. They aren’t particularly good IMO. If we can start positively and with energy I think we can win comfortably.

8 players pick themselves, I'd go Costa-Jota-Cav up front, Pearce is a clogger and Davies over the hill

Derby have officially started their annual battle against promotion and really need to pick it up a bit. They may sneak a point. We should be too strong though. Our last game against a top half side .

They have done alright in their last couple of games.

Theyve done the bare minimum - beaten Preston who are bottling it with 6 points in their last 7 games and Bolton who have 1 win in 8... any top six side should be winning them they were atrocious at PNE.

I'd have Afobe between Costa and Cav as Jota was well off in his natural position against Cardiff. Rest of the team picks itself.

Looking forward to being there for this one - would start with Bear's team

Would be tremendous to secure promotion with a win here, but suspect that Fulham will have won the day before to force it onto the B'ham game at the earliest

German Phil not in the U23's squad, I wonder if he is going to appear on the bench on Wednesday

I would go with Bears team, would be nice if Phil made the bench him not being in the u23 squad seems to suggest he might be. if Fulham lose or draw I could see us being a bit nervy given whats at stake but it would be wonderful to seal things this week then have a few games to experiment with the likes of Phil, Norris, Hause, MGW....

Will be there also and I agree Bears team is the 1 I'd like to see walk out onto the pitch. Let's hope we can clinch promotion with a rousing win over Derby, so the pressure will be off for the Birmingham game

We need to, as David Davis says there's "no chance" of us doing it against Blues on Sunday. He's got quite the gob for somebody so painfully average.

I'd go with Bear's team, too. But I reckon Jota must have something written in to his contract to say if he's available he plays! Only been on the bench once this season (I think?).

We may not have been that impressed with the starting line up on Friday night, but it now means that Costa and Cav are relatively fresh for this one. Jota is coming back to fitness so it has worked out really well for us. Could have been tough with 3 games in 7 days but we'll go into Wed with a relatively fresh front three

Jota really wasn't close to his best on Friday but I'd still pick him over Afobe. But it's the two guys either side of him who have to start - they'll cause Derby a load of problems, and I think Jota works better with them.

That's the team I'd like to see start but I think Afobe will get the nod over Jota.

I agree about Costa & Cav. Bringing them on turned the game in our favour on Friday (Cav's last minute tackle aside!) Our attacking play was so much better after Costa came on.

Has he?? Where is that? Would like to pass that on to my Brummy mate. :icon_evil:

It was on social media over the weekend. A Blues fan had her picture taken with a few of the players and she posted that DD had said Wolves "will not win the title here, don't worry".

It was likely meant as a bit of banter and once again some of our fans are making a massive meal out of it. He's not going to say "make sure you get tickets for the Wolves game because they'll win the title that day" is he? Storm in a teacup.

Is this like the 'Roger Johnson has it written in his contract that he must be captain?' :D (not saying you said that at the time, but I remember lots of fans claiming it, I may have even joked about it myself)

I think Jota has only been on bench for the Fulham games of the league games he has been fit/available for.

I think it is clear how highly Nuno rates Jota. Neves and Boly didn't get in that Porto team last year (had very good players in front of them obviously) but Jota was a key player for him. I think he could have rotated him more often but I don't think that is Nuno's way, he wants to play his strongest team as often as possible.

I'm only messing around, but it does seem like Jota makes his way in to the 11, even when he doesn't seem 100%.

Cav-Afobe-Costa for me, with Jota coming off the bench against tired legs sounds pretty good!
