Dean Watch.

Has anybody seen the irritating Haribo adverts with the boardroom but its kids voices?

Erm, yeah :D

Chesterfield fans are not too impressed by the appointment:

Reminds me of my reaction when we appointed him.

I like the 'Dean's I'd prefer instead of Dean Saunders theme' they have going.

I knew a lad called Dean in primary school who got a reputation for sticking LEGO up his bum. I'll see if he's available.
What was he building?

Something from Lord of the Rings I believe...

:icon_lol:

On a serious note, I can't believe he is absolving himself from any blame in our relegation. What a cunt. As far as I remember, we hadn't been in the bottom 3 at any point until he took over.

No, I think we were at our lowest when we took over, still about 8 points above relegation though. He, Dean, was talking about only being a couple of wins away from play off spots when he first joined. I hadn't at any point prior to his appointment thought that we were in any real danger of the drop - one or two of my most pessimistic acquaintances were muttering along the lines of "we could end up goping down if it carries on like this", and they are the type to boo Sako if he has a bad 5 minutes.

The stuff Deano's coming out with now is totally abhorrent fictional revisionism served on a platter of shite puree topped with bollock jus. I expected no less from him tbh.

I think Solbakken would have took us down if not sacked. Those home performances over Xmas were as bad as it gets. Once he was sacked though any vaguely competent manager would have kept us up.....we got Deano!

You will all be regretting your comments when Dean is holding the premier league trophy aloft on the open top bus, as it parades the team around the streets Chesterfield...!

Planning a raid on Chelsea's trophy room is he?

Really i cannot believe this guy is still getting a job in management..you cant do better in england?

He was, for better or worse, a high profile (record transfer at one stage) player in this country and that holds a lot of weight, it shouldn't but it does. Also as someone said earlier in the thread, some will be taken in by his enthusiasm at interview and ignore the fact that it's all drivel.

Chesterfield are 7/1 to get promoted from league one, so maybe the bookies know something we don't...

Bet365 has them as 8-1 for promotion but 6-1 for relegation.

Best prices out there are 8/1 for promotion and 9/1 for relegation. Chesterfield were half decent last year, surely even he couldn't get them relegated.

Two words...

Leyton Orient.

Leyton Orient were a complete mess though although Dean might have it in him to make Chesterfield a mess.

Dean will teach the strikers to score..........

Dean's new Dynamo's kick off the new season with a home game against Barnsley. It says on the Chesterfield website that it is a Yorkshire derby. I always thought Chesterfield was in Derbyshire.

Definitely is. I seem to remember the two teams having a substantial mutual dislike relating to the miners strike.
