Not a must win says our esteemed manager.

I rather think it is.

Anyway, perhaps this time he won't pick a formation he knows is wrong. I actually don't care who you put in goal, they're all shit.

That would be my team.

Must win or must be sacked. I’m ok with both though.

Agree it’s a must win, however he won’t be sacked if we don’t win, sadly

Sa
Semedo Dawson bueno/Toti RAN
Doyle Gomes Andre
Sarabia JSL Cunha

Awkward thing is there’s quite a lot of options with the mid and forwards yet none have any evidence to be the way to go

I don't see how he stays if we lose.

And I don't see the point of keeping him as even he knows he's getting binned by now.
After they've won today, then for the first time I think a defeat slots him. It would be 7 points off safety. They need someone lined up though, can't afford Collins, Davis etc v Southampton

Jokes aside, He’d stay because we won’t appoint anyone till after international break IMV

I think they’ve set their stall out and will give him these 2 games, regardless of what happens with palace

Wrongly ofcourse

Loads of tickets still available for this still basically the upper tier quadrant of the SC is virtually empty as are the uncovered seats plus loads of single seats in the SB and BW.
Probably 2-3k off capacity in the home end still.
The cheapest I can get me and my daughter in was for £60 no thanks ill stay at home.

That's where Cat B pricing if we are shit doesn't make sense. No day trippers or away fans to bulk the numbers up, but the cost for none season ticket holders isn't appealing. They need to make all that type Cat C really but can't because of the ST prices. I'm away next weekend anyway, but won't pay that price for Southampton, but will for Bournemouth which in PL terms are reasonable.

Doyle’s got to stay in there for me. Offers something different to the other midfielders and actually puts his foot on the ball.

For what it’s worth, I’d go -

Sa
Semedo Dawson Bueno RAN
Andre Doyle
Rodrigo Sarabia Cunha
JSL
But we all know Lemina & Joao Gomes will start in a midfield three - we’ll be horribly unbalanced and will have no out ball for a good while. Probably go 1-0 down again before Gaz flings a few of the attacking lads on. Andre will stay on the bench because he doesn’t know how to use him. Johnstone will go back in because of one error from Sa in the last two games (ignore all the good stuff).

It’s written in the stars. Saturday night under the lights with the world watching live on Sky. Must win game (fuck off that it isn’t, Gary). We’ll lose… and Fosun… STILL won’t sack him.

Can’t wait for the Championship 🙄

It's so weird that we've an obviously very good player in Andre, but the signing just feels flat and pointless.

We could have put that money towards a position that actually would have made a material positive difference to our results.

Pleading poverty and then signing a player with that profile...now that definitely fits into the 'makes no sense' camp

It only doesn't make sense if you think we sign players based on team fit / need. We sign them based on perceived resale value. If he's not in the team in a few weeks time then a quiet word will be had.

The sooner Fosun are gone the better it will be for everyone.

Whilst they own the club this situation will just keep on occurring. Get rid of a good coach- replace with a cheaper poorer option- persist with it- replace them because they’ve got you in the shit.
They’ve basically made the identical mistakes they made in 2022 with the head coach.
GON like Lage lost his way around February and hasn’t recovered since, only difference is they’ve put GON a 4 year deal and backed themselves into a corner.
The plan at the club is stay in the league end off discussion.

Yeah, the money we spent on him and Johnstone could have gone on a centre back and a better winger than Forbs.

Still, a very good player. Hopefully a new manager can soon use him better
