Crusaders (H) 25-07 Build Up

It's just lazy nonsense on here every time, I'm not his biggest fan but it's just bollocks to lay in to him after every game.

I wouldn't say he was motm, but take a look outside the Traore hate bubble and most others say he was.

I wouldn’t say he was MOTM (mind you no one particularly stood out) - but he certainly wasn’t garbage. He set up the first goal and is certainly improving. I don’t want him to be anything more than a back up/emergency player but that doesn’t mean he was crap tonight

Traore was our most dangerous attacking source, he had both his defenders beat at will. The final ball wasn't great, but he did get a decent assist. If motm is the most likely to create something then he was, although I'd give it Moutinho

Laying the hate bubble aside, he was at best dreadful. And that is kind.

That's laughable. Sorry it really is.

No it’s not. He beat the full back literally every time.

His crossing was generally poor, but he bagged an assist & as others have said, he had very little to aim for in the first half.

You’re being WAY too harsh on him.

No, your hyperbolic rubbish is what's laughable. You see what you want to see.

Well we will have to disagree then. I watched a bloke be utterly ineffective bar one good run that resulted in an assist (credit in the bank there I will admit). My eyes work fine and I am sorry he was very poor tonight.

We'll just have to disagree. But I'm right*

*Brian Clough moment. Your mileage may of course vary, and I wouldn't deny you the right to feel that way.

Traore rubbish?...laughable.
Apart from him getting to the byline and putting a ball in every time there was no other plan of attack.

I'm in the Traore played well camp and not the MGW was a misunderstood genius camp.
All in all a shit game against a shit team but its a pre season friendly.

Well on the telly Traore looked fine. End product average but scared the shit out of them every time he ran at them and would probably have scored a screamer had he not half killed Raul with a shot he got his head in the way of. Again, on TV mgw was off. His passes were half a yard behind, his touch loose and his finishing rushed and therefore awful. Donk was awesome, finishing aside. Nerves and Moutinho did what they do without setting the game on fire.Jonny OK, but should be vinagre as he is a better attacker in this type of game. It was a struggle but its a win. Shows why the squad needs extra depth though. Its a bit one dimensional

He put it into the South Bank really well.
I don't remember him putting it in the South Bank once. A couple of deflections which went for corners but you* can't blame him for that.

*That's a general you, the specific you probably do blame him for that.

Traore wasn’t great as his delivery wasn’t the best but at least he nearly made stuff happen. If he didn’t play that could easily have been 0-0.

If MGW miscontrolling it, making abysmal runs, shit passes, shit shots, shit headers is being too clever for the rest of the team then Jota and moutinho must secretly be conference north standard.

If anything they were too clever for him and he couldn’t execute the tight intricate stuff, or just got in the way or made the wrong run. Very poor display which was worrying considering he should have had too much for them.

Traore has played better, penalty aside, in the first three games than he did in the majority of last season. Something is sticking. He also looks well up for the challenge which is something in 2019 you could not have said about Costa . Still early days, agreed but so far he is a positive for me.
