Coronavirus

It’s only for certain countries as far as i know - all, amazingly, economically poor countries 🤷🏻‍♂️
Ah I see. I took a sneak peek at the news at lunch time and I may of read it completely wrong then

Red List Countries (essentially South America, Some African Countries and the UAE) - 10 days locked up at your own expense
ROTW - Have to isolate for 10 days at home and have to have a negative test before you can travel here

And if you lie you risk the most disproportionate prison term in statute. Fucking ridiculous. Judges are ripping it to shreds already.

My Dad has had his 1st injection today. Hopefully he will soon be free from the prison that is his home (although if he got Covid his survival chances before the vaccine kicks in would be extremely low so no choice but to stay in really)

Not sure if our media is currently under the guidence of the Government and have been told to keep everyone scared and fearful until we are ready to be positive but the reporting this week has been appalling.

Take today for instance. Positive cases reported at just over 13,000. Now normally when reporting these number it is compared to the figure from the previous week, so as to show a clear sign of cases falling or rising over 7 days. Well not today it seems, why report that cases were over 19k last Wednesday and instead go with the numbers have risen from yesterday. (just under 12.5k yesterday)

Certainly does seem that way. The "no holiday until this is all over" message from Grant Shapps is certainly depressing.

Can't see me booking anything this year (& got 2 cancelled last year & only just got the money back from the second one)

Anything overseas carries a massive risk & even elsewhere in the UK there are a lot of restrictions & big price increases - booking for later in the summer might be fine but who knows just now.

Yet Matt Hancock has this evening confirmed to his own Party that he is all booked up for his Cornwall trip. Back to the old mixed messages trick.

Asthmatics are underrepresented in terms of hospitalisations for Covid as it appears that the use of steroid inhalers lessens the severity of the disease.
Trials of using steroid inhalers when Non asthmatics are diagnosed with covid seems to work too.

Have a supply at a reasonable price if anyone's interested :)

Having posted the report a couple of posts up regarding asthmatics, this mornings news has steroid inhaler users being bumped up the vaccine list.

I'm quoting my own post as the article has now changed and states that it isn't clear that asthmatics using steroids by way of an inhaler (rather than tablet form) are to be vaccinated any quicker.

I'm pretty sure, based in today's vaccination numbers, the vaccine target has been met
