More Tim Martin news: Wetherspoons aren't paying suppliers even for stuff that has actually been delivered until the Government pay them.

Shame on you if you ever use them again after this.

Utter wanker. If it wasn't for the employees who would be left up shit creek I would happily wish bankruptcy on that business and indeed the bloke himself.

Exactly what I said,it was a smoky haze,or Hazey smoke, take your pick,a purple haze all across the sky would have better, but not to be

Fuck all there when I went down Linthouse Lane around 15:00.

Forgot to say this was 6.30am for the smokey haze

Sadly, plenty of bulbous nosed, red cheeked cunts will.

Am told Wetherspoon will now pay enployees after all. Calling these dreadful people out, and threatening them with the law, does work. We at @GoodLawProject
will next turn our attention to their treatment of their suppliers.

Excellent news.

I won't be stepping foot in a Wetherspoons pub again after all this bullshit.

I don't use them anyway as they're awful places (dirty as fuck, full of the dregs of society, shit staff - not their fault necessarily, but they're inadequately trained and always lacking support - shit drinks, awful decor, darker than Norway in December, dreadful food, cunt of an owner, Brexit propaganda all over the place) but I hope people do stick to this when we're back to normal(ish). I doubt they will though, if one place is selling a pint at £2 and one at £3 then they'll pick the former and fuck morals.

If my only choices at a train station were waiting an hour doing nothing or sitting in a Wetherspoons then I'd rather do nothing.

Anyone been watching Jamie Oliver's hastily filmed programmes on C4 that have been airing since the lockdown?

I know some people don't like him but I think he's great. Its basically simple recipes using staple ingredients, and tonight's was acknowledging the lack of eggs and tinned tomatoes available by cooking stuff without them.

You can tell he's winging it as he goes on but fair play to the guy - great stuff.

I like Jamie Oliver, he's a decent geezer. He's no businessman but I won't hold that against him.

From the Guardian:

UK death toll rises to 465

A further 28 people have died in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in the UK to 465.

The UK’s Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) said 414 people in England have now died in England, while 22 have died in both Scotland and Wales and seven people have died in Northern Ireland.

The latest patients to die in England were aged between 47 and 93 years-old and all except the 47-year-old had underlying health conditions. Their families have been informed, the DHSC has said.
