Coronavirus

The Coronavirus Bill looks like it covers the self employed and freelancers if this isn't fake. From Collymore's Twitter

The problem with the retail situation is he said electrical and clothing. So any other business that doesn't fall into that is wilfully pretending he didn't mean them

Well it says Bike shops can open, found that strange to be honest.

Just so you know that Tim Martin is still determined to be the biggest cunt on the planet...

No pay for Wetherspoons staff from 22 March. Companies like Costa are paying up to 8 weeks on full pay, but Gammon Tim won't pay a penny until he's received anything from the Government, which will probably end up being the end of April. He has genuinely suggested that his employees go and work in Tesco in the meantime.

What an absolute pie faced prick, I hope no-one ever goes in his shithole pubs once this has all finished.
Indeed.

Did a double take earlier when I walked past the local asda petrol station. Price seems to have dropped by 12p in a day!

Supermarkets and other food shops
Health shops
Pharmacies, including non-dispensing pharmacies
Petrol stations
Bicycle shops
Home and hardware shops
Laundrettes and dry cleaners
Garages
Car rentals
Pet shops
Corner shops and newsagents
Post offices
Banks
can all stay open.

Compare Wetherspoons to Fullers brewery who are waiving rents to support landlords staff and communities, won't look to recoup rent at a later date and whose directors have taken a voluntary 20% paycut.

Tim Martin is much like Boris Johnson in playing the buffoon. He's a cretin though.

Thing is, as i said self employed flogging on ebay but need to go to the post office to mail stuff.
Is the item essential??. Probaly not but it keeps them afloat the same as Currys keeping their warehouse open to send an unessential nintendo switch via courier to someone.
Difference being, the person going to the post office could be in bother for going there.

"Online retail is still open and encouraged and postal and delivery service will run as normal"

Think this should have been elaborated on to be honest.

Lots of self employed folks on ebay but are those goods essential? and are you allowed to go to the post office
to post something thats not really essential..are post offices just open for pensions etc.

Also it reads like, do a one time weekly shop, yet stuff like Wilkos is open, so i can or cant pop up to Wilkos to get a bit of stuff
Or i cant pop to a tesco express just to get a loaf or milk cos i should be getting a weeks worth of bread.

Are things like Boiler services essential, i dont get mine done soon then the insurance on it is void after that date.

Its a bit all over the place to be honest.

Also, stuff like chip shops are open but they dont paticularly want you going out.

I know some folks who will walk the dog and think they cant get a chinese or chips because theyve already been out that day.

fuck me George Orwell.

People who can't work from home and who don't work for business shut down by these order are free to go to and from work. Being essential work (essential for what exactly?) has nothing to do with it.

I never in all my years thought I would ever see this planet in such a horrible mess with truly horrific solutions.

The price of Oil has been falling for a while, OPEC asked Russia to drop production, Russia told them to do one so OPEC carried on production rates and dropped their prices.

Seems like a ploy from the Russians to put the squeeze on the US Shale Oil industry which costs more to produce.

It won't last long

This is how I read it, however if businesses are not producing essential goods or services its just a matter of time before their work dries up

If the idea is to keep people away from people it doesn't take a genius to work out what is or isn't a good place to go.

30k a year is fairly normal it would seem.

You've got people on the frontline saying this is something they have never seen the likes of before. Now these are well trained, educated, professional people who are used to anything and everything and the last people to exaggerate. It's going to get worse and those who triage have my utmost respect - I couldn't do it.

Yeah we've been through this one before, they even attribute some deaths to other conditions...so died of pneumonia... But caught it because of a low immune system due to dementia...so dementia was put as the cause in cases.

As said before, when the vaccine was shit in 2014 and hundreds died a day.. We should have been having major public health warnings all day long but it wasnt worldwide and it didn't have a name to scare folks with.

Plus unlike now, a lot of these folks wouldnt have got anywhere near a hospital until it was way too late.

Pictures from this morning suggest that Tube trains are still packed.
