The following are according to my records out of contract this summer (sometimes though we've handed out new deals and not bothered telling anyone):

Francisco Trincao
Hwang Hee-Chan

John Ruddy
Joao Moutinho
Marçal
Romain Saiss
----------------------------------------
Palmi Arinbjornsson
Lewis Richards
Pascal Estrada
Jamie Pardington
Jackson Smith
Owen Hesketh
Michael Agboola
Justin Hubner
Joe Young
Austin Samuels
Erik Bugarin
Conor Carty
Lee Harkin
Raphael Nya

Would not be signing Trincao at the pre-agreed fee of £25m. Maybe if we can negotiate Barca down to a lower initial price. Wouldn't bother at all with Hwang based on performances so far, he has a lot to do.

I think Ruddy will go (won't want to see out his remaining career on the bench) and I would cut Marçal loose, we don't need him if Jonny comes back anything like as good as he was pre-injury. Would obviously keep Moutinho and Saiss, would actually hand both a 2 year deal rather than just a year's extension.

Of the Academy players I would only keep Richards, Hubner and Hesketh. None of the others are even close to ever being good enough for Wolves and they won't realise any transfer value going forward either. Time to stop handing out pointless deals as we have done so often in the past, let them go and try to make a career elsewhere.

Same but I might be more tempted at Trincao however I actually think wages might be a bigger issue than the fee. Sarkic has some first team experience at a decent level now, I'd rather Ruddy wasn't kept on, I don't trust him when he does play anyway.

Agree with your assessment there, pal.

Saiss + Moutinho I would definitely be offering new contracts to. Trincao I'm on the fence over. There is definitely a talent there and I think we might regret letting him go, but given the wage he is apparently on, I could understand us passing up the opportunity to sign him. Especially for £25m! Hwang I'm not bothered by, but I suspect we'll sign him as a cheap squad option - and I'm ok with that, but I don't think we want to be signing him as a key first team player, so then it begs the question can we do better?

Wasn't Nya highly rated? Must admit I haven't seen enough of him to comment. There's some proper guff in that under 23/21 list. Appreciate we can't let them ALL go, but none of them are jumping out as potential first teamers in a year or two.

Nya looks decent when he plays but is injury prone as fuck. Also Agboola is injury prone but I've never seen him play well

I think I'd hang onto Burgarin and Harkin for now.

There's a ton of keepers I haven't seen play so no idea if they're good or not.

Id definitely be letting Estrada, Samuels and Carty go.

Agree that Richards, Hubner and Hesketh are worth hanging onto.

Trincao can look utterly majestic at times, but he's not a cheap punt at £25m and the thick end of £7m a year in wages. I think we can get much better value for money than that.

Hwang can do one in the summer, he's really not very good.

I'd also give Joao and Saiss two and half years right now. Even if they start to wane towards the end of next season, they'll still be good squad options for another year after that. And good as in you can trust them to do a good job, not as in a Donk kind of gO0d

Have bolded ones I think we will offer new deals of academy players.

First team decisions I pretty much agree with. When does Boly's contract expire?

I'm torn on Hwang. Otherwise, agree with what's been said.

2023 for Boly (also for Adama and Cutrone of senior players - Semedo and Dendoncker technically expire next year too but have 2 and 1 year options in the club's favour respectively)

Hwang can go, I'd try and negotiate Trincao down. Maybe if we can reduce the up front fee with some performance payments it would be worth doing as there's a player there wanting to break out but he hasn't shown enough yet for what will be a big chunk of our budget.

I'd retain Saiss, good influence around the club and he's never let us down.

Estrada is an interesting one, he's never really looked good enough to me.

Will say that I will be legitimately upset when Saiss leaves. Such an underrated figure in the team, IMO. He even makes the normally cringey "here's the players being forced to have fun" vids on the official youtube account enjoyable.

Moutinho & Saiss definitely.

Ruddy should go & needs to if he wants to play still. Marcal not fussed, Hwang not good enough, Trincao is an either/or.

There is something there, but at that price/wages I'm not sure we should be doing it - there are other places we can spend that money with possibly more immediate impact.

(don't know enough about any of the U23s to comment)

Remember when Lambert left Saiss completely out of a matchday squad because he "knows what Romain can do" but played Edwards for 90 minutes?

Good times.
In hindsight, that's the moment I should have known Lambert was just a deluxe version of Deano.
