Thats not even the worst. The one in Swindon you can go straight over the middle too.
 
Am I right in thinking they don’t have roundabouts in the USA because they’re too difficult to understand. 😉
 
Any excuse to squeeze a picture of this vanity project debacle in. Fucking scandalous waste of money and still angry at that and the way the doubters were shouted down. Digging the bloody thing up now too so the overall cost astronomical. What happens when you let dreamers loose with public money. (I’ll get over it one day, honest).

Anyway, from the BBC last year:

A Dutch-style roundabout has seen more collisions in the three years since it was built compared to its predecessor over the previous three years.
The new layout on Fendon Road, Cambridge, came into use in 2020 offering priority to cyclists and pedestrians.
There have been 10 collisions since then, three of them serious, compared to six minor incidents 2017-2019.
The county council said it carried out regular road safety audits at the site.”

Any roundabout with more than a single lane can get fucked IMO.
 
I was kind of expecting that ridiculous one in France (Paris probably), but yeah, I’d avoid that shuriken-lookin’ death trap if it meant an extra hour.
