Championship 15/16

Because I'm not blind or deaf?

Similar question to earlier - what about the role he played when we won the Championship in 2008/09? Or doesn't that count?

It's possible that's too early for Alan, so he only knows the decline...?

As has been mentioned already, he was great in 08/09, but once we went up, he really wasn't as good as some make out.

I hated watching him whenever we were at the Mol, he was so slow and his passing was beyond shit. He really annoyed me but I wouldn't boo him

As far as I'm concerned, there have been utter wasters who have not been worthy of the shirt who have come and gone - and TBH I couldn't really be bothered to go out of my way to boo them either. I'd rather just concentrate on supporting my team. The likes of Karl Henry, Michael Kightly, Stephen Ward etc don't deserve the negativity that someone like Greg Halford would warrant because despite it not ending well, they all did a job for us at one time or another. And in some cases, the positives vastly outnumber the negatives.

What happened in the past with the double relegation can't be undone, but there surely has to be a time when we forget about that and look forward to what is potentially a very exciting period for us? I just can't be bothered with the booing etc of former players.

Given that the same fickle morons who booed Andy Keogh for not being Freddy Eastwood actually sang his name when he scored AGAINST us, I couldn't really give a shit what our fans do. I won't be booing Henry, I remember the good days very fondly and I'm only sorry it ended how it did.

I didn't boo Olofinjana when he played down here for Hull, it's not his fault he was useless and managers kept picking him. I did boo Halford last season though as he is a cunt.

Lonely up on that pedestal, isn't it?

Behave yourself. You're the one slating a player when you don't know most of the information about him. Ridiculous.

I don't slate something I don't know the full picture about, that's it.

He's allowed his own opinion.

If he's only followed Wolves long enough to remember negative things about certain players then that's fair enough, you can't expect him to go back through the history books and then let the good times which he had no opportunity to experience for himself outweigh his personal experience.

Your 6-7 years of Henry, no idea how long he was actually at Wolves, might have been overall positive but that doesn't mean Alan's 3 years or so have to be.

Indeed - that's all correct - so NWW is allowed his own opinion too. I can see where he's coming from with this one.

It's all subjective anyway. I absolutely loathed Stephen Hunt but many Wolves fans believe he should forever be granted a free pass because he scored an important goal once. I can live with that, I just choose to laugh at the scrubber's total lack of footballing ability. Well I can laugh now he doesn't pollute our shirt any more anyway.

He certainly is, everyone has their right to boo, applaud, not give a rat's arse either way or whatever they decide to do upon an former player's return, that's their choice.

Just telling someone to 'educate themselves' seems a little unnecessary, Alan's got his opinion based on his experience, he shouldn't have to base his opinion on someone else's previous experience to satisfy someone.

Obviously, but I think it's a bit odd to judge a player's contribution to the club without knowing their full contribution to the club. Not that it matters that much but there you go.

Karl Henry acted like a complete douche towards the end of his Wolves career, lets not pretend otherwise.

Personally Ill probably fall in with Lincs etc in not giving him the time of day (apart from loudly cheering the first time he balloons a pass straight into the Billy Wright). Ill certainly not be criticising any of my fellow fans if they do decide to boo him though, they'd be well within their rights. If someone tried to boo Stephen Ward or Kevin Foley I might have a word but not for Karl Henry.

I don't see what's strange at all about judging a player based on your own experience of them, I think it'd be rather strange to go the other way and be letting the stuff from before your time influence your thinking above what you've seen for yourself.

It's just a matter of timing I suppose.
