Cardiff 0 - 1 Wolves: The Verdict

He had a good game and they're both pens. Coads has both hands in the back for the first one and it's a daft challenge by Cav for the second (just inside the box, and the lino gave it anyway)

Not saying they weren’t. Although the first one is in the “gave him the opportunity to give it” category. If that was Madine or Zohore they wouldn’t have gone down and Coady was playing as if it was. Unfortunately it was Pilkington who had no intention of winning the header just buying a foul.

He does love the attention though look at the way he points to spot for the 2nd one

And he looks like tony sopranos mom!
Apologies for the small image,I'm a tech luddite

Even gave Nuno the wanker sign...

Lovely start to the weekend. 5 points needed , maybe even less. Ruddy Coadyh and Neves all showed why they are in the team of the season. Warnock, well any brownie points he earnt when he backed us 're the villa derby Leeds complaints have gone.
Zohore did look a good player as did Bennet.

Got to live britneys clear delight in this interview. He really is busting at the seams about wolves season

Those post match videos with Spiers and Judah have really turned me around on Timbo. I enjoy them both now (although Judah especially is exactly my kind of doofus).

Back home now. Feel very drained after watching that! What an end to the game. What a goal by Neves. Cardiff's tactics were rubbish and their only real chances came from our very stupid and easily avoidable mistakes. Zohore was falling over constantly trying to win FKs, pathetic. All they do is lump the ball up and try to keep it alive until something happens.

Pretty much nailed top spot now.

I feel for Bonatini as his effort against the post was actually a very clever piece of thinking (notice how the defender moves away from the goal line and then he goes for goal). Sums up his 2nd half of the season.

Apart from the frentic last couple of minutes and 2 missed penalties, Cardiff hardly posed a threat and for a team that sits second I'm amazed at their lack of skill and tactical nous. As other have said before they play a horrible brand of football (Warnock style), yes effective at this level, and they seem to be the best at it, but it's not going to stand up to the pressure of the Premier League.

For most of the game Wolves passed them off the park and if Costa had scored late on (lovely piece of skill to set it up though) we would have been saved the heart failures in injury time.

Full kudos to Ruddy who has copped a lot of flak in the last couple of months - his overall game and penalty save has made up for his howler against Norwich.

Interestingly in 08/09 when we last went up it was with 90 pts and a goal difference of +28. This season we're at 89 pts after only 41 games and a goal difference of +38. We'll probably go close to 100 pts score about 80 odd goals but our defence is so much stronger which augers well for next season in the Premier League (I know we'll have upgrades, but a back 3 of Boly, Coady and Bennett is still probably good enough for a mid-table finish).

If any of you guys are not on Twitter it is worth joining just to read the comments on Colin. In football terms Cardiff 0-1 Wolves. But in manager terms last night was Colin 0-8 Nuno. Cannot find one single person on social media criticising NES

Full game being repeated currently on SS Football, if anyone is quite as sad as me

Got to think now that 96 pts will be enough for the title. Maybe even less. Ironic that the only team we haven't beaten this year is Sunderland

Well well what a night even my missus who doesn't really like footy was jumping up and down with me. Pure emotion at the final whistle for everyone. I have criticised Ruddy several times this season but he was a giant last night, that penalty save was epic and to see how much it meant to him brought a tear to the eye.

Don't want to criticise anyone but I think the starting line up didn't work but at least we know that now. MGW is ready to start for me we should always have at least 2 flair players with a striker and if Cav and Costa are tired/leggy let's get Morgan in there.

MOTM Ruddy

That Ruddy save in the top corner from the freekick was top class..
