Burton build up...

It does bother me. I apologise for finding different irritants to you.

You all should see the show over here when it comes to people and drums.
I've been to a few local Chattanooga FC games and it's like a high school marching band.

.
$#@! me,the amount of moaning just because Punjabi Wolves are playing the Dhol tomorrow.
Woe betide a $#@!ing atmosphere breaks out.

Best response on facebook..."Have you checked this is okay with Andrea Radrizzani & Steve Bruce?"
It'll be fine, they're not mendes clients

Bothers me as I think drums sound awful at a match. I like a different atmosphere to people banging a fucking drum.

But presumably other people do like them?

I liked the organised drum/chanting when I went to watch Hertha Berlin a few years ago, made for a really good atmosphere even though the game was absolutely shite.

Fucking hell - a fucking drum. Glorious. I was near them at MK and it was fucking infernal.

Big no from me. Shite idea.

Where were these when we were shit last year and couldn't do the Icelandic clap :icon_lol:

They tried it again on Tuesday when Bod got subbed off. Still can't do it.

Have to say I love the horns and drums that have made their way into MLS culture. Hearing a lone trumpet blare the Tetris song is just part of the fabric of a Chicago match, for example.

I do get that some would find it annoying, though, and IMO should be left up to the fans in some measure. Do all English clubs have a fan council or similar?

So... It seems like a split before the game, Western and Royal London before, and after the game The Royal London?
Suits me.

What's the Moon done to piss everyone off, or is it the interminable wait to get served that suddenly dawned on people there are faster pubs to drink in?

The Moon is one of the worst pubs in Western Europe.

Don't know about afterwards, depends. London wasn't letting anyone in after QPR by the time we got out of the ground. We normally go to the Bohemian. Easy enough to get served, good beers, near the station for those who need to shoot off fairly quickly. Honestly don't give a fuck about the rugby afterwards, if we really are going to watch sport somewhere then I'd want to watch Bolton vs Villa.

Quite often use the Bohemian after the game

A Villa mate of mine was randomly in Wolverhampton on a non match day, and said it (the Moon) was fantastic. He's a pub manager and recommended it to me as I don't often get to home games. Was up for Cardiff this season and walked right past it as there was already a spot of trouble outside.
Went to the Boho which was a little too "crafty" for me, then he London which was rammo. Will try the Western next time, whenever that will be.

It is not fantastic :icon_lol:

- Dirty, seriously fucking grubby all over the place
- Dark, and not in a nice cosy way
- Wait of upwards of 20 minutes to get served on a matchday - even when it's quiet you can have a random wait as no-one knows what they're doing
- Terrible clientele
- Poor layout, in terms of both bar and seating
- Shocking decor and maintenance of the place. I moved back to the West Mids in 2003 and don't think it's had anything done to it since then
- Clueless staff - seriously, some of the worst I have ever seen in any pub anywhere
- Accepting that sport isn't a Wetherspoons thing, if you are going to put the rugby on, have a bigger screen than effectively a portable

I despise the place, I'd gladly never go there ever again. Awful, awful, awful. I'd rather have a pint in McGhee's.

I was with you right up to the last sentence.
