If I want to see teams at the bottom beaten pick any other mid table side but us! Losses to Burnley Cardiff Huddersfield twice gives us pause for genuine thought. We have not played well in any of those games either. To dismiss it is crackers. Not good enough all round today.
We created fuck all in the box today, we had 1 header on target. Each time Traore or Costa get the ball on the right, they dawdle on it or play the wrong ball around the outside and we run into blind alleys. That poor passing in the final third is what has cost us today.
Not quite sure what you wanted him to do, he beat his man looked up and there was no one there. Repeat ad infinitum.Nuno needs to coach Traore to release the ball quicker, so many times he collects it, beats his man, then stops... Allowing his man to track back, then he beats him round the outside and puts in a poor cross and we lose possession.
Repeat x 100 and that sums him up at the moment.
That just becomes pre-season. I want Europa by either method.
Anyway - bye-bye Huddersfield, you won't be missed.

Disappointing, would maybe take 1 Burnley player here at a push so we shouldn't really be losing to them. We were the better side on balance but we didn't work their keeper nearly enough.

Half the time he was on the goal line, so that's not really possible. He needed a player to come towards him, or be in the middle for a cross.Would have liked him to cut inside and run towards the box, play a one two in the way Jota does
Despite this defeat we are still 7th with a game in hand over 8th place - really not sure what more any of us was thinking was possible anyway.
At all. One header.
Geoff Boycotts gran could have been in goal for Burnley today.
They only had one shot on target. That went in.
Despite all the positives, the plaudits, the hype its results against shit teams like this that absolutely pisses me off far more than losing to a top 6 team. Its slack. If we genuinely want to make it a sky 7 these results are exactly what needs to change.
No that's true. But the points chucked away against the bottom sides would have us breathing down Chelsea's neck.
Our record against the bottom four is w2 d1 lost 4.
For a side in 7th that sucks
We have also beaten Cardiff and Burnley.
We have beaten Southampton
We have beaten Newcastle
We have beaten Palace
We have beaten Bournemouth
Plenty of points taken off the bottom half as well.
We are inconsistent. And that is why we aren't closer to the top six, I agree, but we have taken a lot of points of the shite teams as well. The double from Huddersfield is the outlier, but we ALWAYS lose to them and hopefully won't need to play them again for a long time.
Make that the bottom 5 and it goes up to W3 D1 L4. How convenient of you to miss that out.

Think id have started Vinagre rather than Jonny, his energy would have pinned them back and he'd have been the better option especially when we conceded so early. Very surprised he didn't get any minutes with how the game panned out.
Thought Traore did fine mostly. Beat his man and got it in but didn't have much to aim at with Jota and Cav up front and no focal point. Think we threatened more but can't legislate for a smash and grab performance like that.
Costa offered less than fuck all when he came on. A couple of times he got the ball and only had one man but didn't even look to take him on. I've no idea whats wrong him but he just looks bereft. Don't expect him to be here next season.
Frustrating day but it wasn't a no show like Huddersfield or Cardiff away. Really poor start and then a suckerpunch in the second. I'm more concerned we get through the games with no injuries to be honest.
Sorry mate didn't see it before I posted.
I am adding palace at home, Watfoird at home as two more shit performances. Brighton was unlucky. But of the best of the rest teams we have the worse record against the current bottom six. I really don't think its as easy as meh, move on to Tuesday. We got 4 fortunate points from Newcastle too. I am not getting to cocky about us yet. We are far to inconsistent for my liking.
