Burnley (A) 30.03.2019

I think “battered them” is pretty over optimistic paddy, we’ve not created much at all.

Sometimes that happens for christ's sake.

If you want guaranteed victories all the time watch Manchester City.

Anyway - Huddersfield are gone so at least those cunts won't be doubling us next season.

We created fuck all in the box today, we had 1 header on target. Each time Traore or Costa get the ball on the right, they dawdle on it or play the wrong ball around the outside and we run into blind alleys. That poor passing in the final third is what has cost us today.

Sometimes you get games where you dominate but it doesn't translate into results - Brighton away is the best example of that this season. Battered them and if the ref didn't fuck up we would have absolutely won that.

I haven't watched the game but following text commentary it appears that we were the better side. Gripes that we gave them the advantage so early, especially as it was probably the only way they were creating a chance and if not things would likely have been very different.

By Shi's own words, that's where we want to be.

Freak results happen, obviously, no one can deny that. But if you look at some of our results this season, like today, both Huddersfield games, Fulham away, etc., I think shrugging your shoulders at those results isn't the proper response. Something clearly needs improvement. It's not going to put us in danger of relegation or anything stupid like that, but it is an issue we need to overcome, and personally it's a bit mystifying that it's happened so often this year given our playing staff.

Don't think it's doomsaying to admit that.

15 yrs ago not many were - things change

We are not there yet, but are, on the whole moving in the right direction

If you offered me 2 defeats in this game & Tuesday, but a S/F win then I would take the latter

Calm down guys, League doesn’t really matter. I think Europa league is a step to far for us at this stage. This game is pretty clear sign that we don’t have the squad.

Obviously if we can win the win the cup and go straight in then That’s great, but we don’t really want to be having to go through the qualifiers.

Have to completely disagree with this - Traore skinned his man every time and got a cross in

Meh. Annoying. Watch us beat Utd.

Changes came at completely the wrong time. Interrupted our wave of pressure. I’d have left it another ten.

If I want to see teams at the bottom beaten pick any other mid table side but us! Losses to Burnley Cardiff Huddersfield twice gives us pause for genuine thought. We have not played well in any of those games either. To dismiss it is crackers. Not good enough all round today.

That just becomes pre-season. I want Europa by either method.

Anyway - bye-bye Huddersfield, you won't be missed.

Nuno needs to coach Traore to release the ball quicker, so many times he collects it, beats his man, then stops... Allowing his man to track back, then he beats him round the outside and puts in a poor cross and we lose possession.

Repeat x 100 and that sums him up at the moment.

Deserved defeat today, no complaints about the result. Thought Moutinho, Boly and Traore played well but that’s it. Cav tried but he’s not a striker.

Burnley are really shit, cynical, diving tossers, would hate to have to watch that shit every week.

We've beaten 3 of the bottom 5 this season.

At this point in the season then those at the bottom have an extra incentive (points wise where we are we don't) - they will always be more difficult to deal with (especially away)

Dissapointing, but not the end of the world.
