To add if it’s suspended at Xmas this won’t improve prior to probably late January. Could also see a few dread behind closed door games coming back.

Ikeme has very muddled thinking. Blames Covid for people with treatable cancers dieing, which is undoubtedly true and obviously a cause very close to his heart. How he then turns that into being anti vax/any restrictions is a gap I'm struggling to fill
I think alot of the problem is people go down a bit of a rabbit hole in one direction and then the social media algorithms reinforce that and it becomes more and more extreme - it's designed to be confrontational as that's what keeps people's eyeballs looking at the screen for the longest time.

That just creates these polar opposites tribes at the extremes arguing with each other like they are on teams where generally you can predict someone's opinions on most things based on what they think about one issue. That's what has probably happened with him I think.

How anyone who has had to go through cancer treatment can also be an anti-vaxxer is truly beyond me.

How can you trust medical practitioners to pump you with poison* then not trust them with a vaccine. You put your life in the hands of the medical world when you go through cancer and there's so many medical hurdles to tackle it's unreal, to then say that you don't believe them over a vaccine is just plain odd.

It's also very sad to see him liking the most bizarre of posts from Matt LeTisier.

*whilst it's not quite poison it certainly isn't very pleasant

Yep if you don’t trust the Dr’s and Nurse giving you the vaccine then you can’t trust them to treat you for anything.
It’s just an absurd conspiracy theory, forgetting how many hundreds of thousands would need to be in on it and trusted to keep quiet.

30% of medical products approved by the FDA have been pulled in the last 20 years. Oxycontin addicted and killed millions of Americans. The trials said you had a very slim chance of addiction. There are solid reasons why people do not trust big pharma.

I am vaxxed (reluctantly) due to peer pressure, and am also being treated for cancer.

What you got a source for that figure? 30% is a big number

The US medical sector is very different to ours here..

The book,Empire of Pain, By Patrick Radden Keefe, covers the rise of Oxy and the role of the Sackler brothers and Purdue pharmacutical. In fact, a study of the players in the rise of big pharma , and a bit of cross referencing, lends a bit of context to what is happening now.

Too many to go through. Put in, '30% fda approved products pulled' and there are a ream of sources. Med journals,CNN,NY times. It does not appear to be controversial.

We're very different in the UK (and the EU) as America very much has a drug culture and we don't.

Which is why anti-vaxxers don't really have an excuse here in the UK.

A guy I know very well was an anti-vaxxer and got Covid, spent 6 weeks in hospital ,has permanently scarred lungs, now signed off from work for 6 months and will be forever classed as disabled.

Now thinks anti-vaxxers are idiots.

The guy that helped invent the PSA test is worth a read. Richard J Ablin says the test was coopted and misused. He says urologists would go bankrupt without prostatectomies. As is often the case money is sadly a factor

The bloke who invented the PCR was quite an interesting chap as well. Was an LSD user who said it helped him inspire him to come up with the test.

"I could sit on a molecule and watch the particles go by. I learnt that partly on psychedelic drugs.”

I learnt not to stare into mirrors and to keep away from crowds and drunk people, some guys have all the luck.
