Brighton and Hove Albion (A) 27.10.2018

"We have to improve. Let's see (if we make changes tomorrow). We have a fully fit squad. Chris Hughton is a fantastic coach and a gentleman."

I reckon this is Nuno speak for we will make changes. And he's a class act, obviously.

Chris Hughton is a fantastic coach and a gentleman.

....but if we win with a last minute stonker I will go batshit mental right in front him

Groß and Pröpper out for them tomorrow, no decision on Murray yet, our old friend Locadia may deputise.

Groß and Pröpper are huge misses for them.

Gross has barely featured all season in any case.

Got a sneaking suspicion we might see two changes today.

Probably one or two changes, still going for 0-0 though. Would love 4 points from the next 3 games but think 2 is more realistic

Adama starts! Dendonker on bench.

Wouldn’t have been the change I made, personally. Would have started Cav over Traore every day of the week. Maybe Nuno has spotted a weakness that he thinks Adams can expose.

Hope it works out.

Interesting. I thought it would be Cav coming in and Adama still as the powerful impact sub. Let's see what he does with a start then.

Think that's a reaction to Watford dominating our midfield last Saturday. Brighton can't move their wingers inside and overload Neves & Moutinho if Traoré is on the pitch, you need to drop at least one of them back outside to help out the full back and double up on him.

I thought that, I wonder if Cav isn't quite ready to start yet? Anyway, Jota hasn't been at the races yet and has deserved to be dropped.

Interesting to see how Adama does playing from the start

Hause & Saïss both drop out of the XI.

Surprised it's Traore instead of Cav but I assume Cav must not quite be fit enough to start. Should be fun though now!

Good to see Traoré starts against heavy slow Brighton defence

Would have preferred Cav but looks like it is time to see whether Traore can have the desired impact from the start of a match. As Lycan points out this should prevent Brighton being able to pack the middle and put as much pressure on Neves and Moutinho as Watford did.

The brighton defence is not young, i can see the benefit of having Traore up against them. Better on the left too, as he will have someone behind him who can defend.

Bruno is about 84.

Hutton proved you can use experience against Adama in the playoffs but after he tired they didnt have the option of a Cavaleiro/Jota coming on.

Interesting change - not the one I would have predicted, but lets see what he can do with time
