Except you didn't say it was 'a theory' or 'an opinion' which was why I asked for proof. So presumably you 'believe' he pulled Johnstone to one side and asked him to pretend he was injured because he was going to play him but he's now changed his mind because he might get abuse if he does. Or something like that. Who cares about attention on a web forum?

How about taking his and the club's word on it? He says he's injured and they say he's injured. Why immediately assume that the player himself and assorted medical and coaching staff are all colluding in a big lie 'because our gormless prick of a manager has backed himself into a corner and bottled the decision'?

Regardless, that wasn't the issue. If someone wants to assume that then that's up to them. However wrong, nasty and implausible I might think it was. It was the assertion as fact that piqued me. We've now established it was a theory and an opinion, so that's fine.
