I'd be surprised if he drops Doherty, he played well against Brentford last time out. Especially for his standards.

6 days until our next game so if fit I'd play our best 11. Lemina played 2 games with hid dad on his deathbed so I'd imagine he'd want to play
Sa, Semedo, Kilman, Dawson, Toti, H Bueno, Lemina, Doyle, Neto, Cunha, Sarabia
Well yeah, that's the team if all fit and available.

Well, it was a prediction rather than a preference, but our choices aren't particularly vast.

Bellegarde as a CM in a 2 doesn't look right either.
If he can polish his defensive instincts I think this will be his best position long term. He's just so strong on the ball.

He works that out, and he'll be a CM who can go past guys like a winger. Lots of variables to get to that (especially consistency), but I think he has a similar ceiling to JG if things pan out optimistically, so to speak.

Lemina was supposed to be available for this. I didn't see him in any of the Abu Dhabi photos though.

I can respect the idea that JG's ceiling is higher but "anywhere near" I'd definitely file as "harsh".

Very unlike me to give a player from Ligue 1 a massive benefit of the doubt, granted. ;)

That said, João's ability to adapt to this league so quickly at his age (and given the gap between the Prem and Liga do Brasil) has been nothing short of incredible, no argument there. JR clearly in need of more time than that.

I don't think Bellegarde has anywhere near the potential Gomes has personally, he's a decent pick up for the price but I'm not completely sold on him.
Not in Gomes position, but in an emergency maybe, still time for Bellegarde to improve but I think it will be higher up the pitch.

JRB has only been here 5 mins. Plenty of time for him to settle in and play a bit more. Don't think we've found an ideal position/role for him yet either.

Clearly Bellegarde wouldn't get near a midfield two if everyone were available, but there's at least a theoretical upside to him playing there, Hodge offers literally nothing, not even effort.

Fraser in the squad as well

Well that's getting pinned to their dressing room wall if we play them...

I've already had two people ask me if I can get tickets to the next round, who aren't going tomorrow night.
Those types annoy me. I make the decision to not go to games like Blackpool and Brentford in the knowledge that in doing so I'm waiving my chance of going to a big away Cup game like Albion.

Must admit if I'd known it was going to be so bloody cold I might not have gone tomorrow.

I'm struggling to get to the Albyun game if we beat Brentford and I literally had 24 people who normally don't give a shit about talking to me on Facebook begging for my AST for that game. Fuck all 24 of you.
Should update your FB status to that...

I might have an outside chance of getting a ticket with my points. Won't be offering my supporter number out if we go through and I don't want to go though (the latter being more than likely), it's just asking for some knobhead to get chucked out on your name with whatever consequences that brings.

I'm going tomorrow.

Going to miss it as stuck in Helsinki as my wife can’t fly due to a severe respiratory infection. However cold it is there I’m confident it’s a lot colder here.

Can't wait for tomorrow. That's even pricing in the freezing weather requiring extra car charging stops and the nagging feeling that the M6 / A14 will be closed on the way home, all generating that weird combination of fatigue and excitement as I try and make it home on some country lanes at gone midnight while the family sleep through it all in the car oblivious.
