A shame for it all to end for Haye that way (think that is it for him now). Bellew was hanging in until the injury but I had him losing every round bar the first, then you're facing a bloke who can barely walk.
in the 8th you had Haye with one hand on the ropes looking physically battered and staggering around like a drunk.
I think Bellew could have picked him off then if he wanted.
Joshua would flatten either. Hayes injury changed the fight but Bellew had kept out of the way until the injury. I had Haye up by 1 going into the 6 th round and he didn't win another. I fancied an upset if it went past 5 but the injury sealed it.
The injury didn't seal it, it defined it. Like Tredman says, Bellew barely threw a punch in rounds 2-5. He was operating under the blind hope that Haye would gas - well, he did in a way I suppose.
