Boris Johnson has offered to deliver unredacted WhatsApp messages from his current phone to the Covid Inquiry and stated that the Cabinet Office redacting statements is nothing to do with him. He's even going to try to turn on his old phone to try and be as cooperative as possible however in his letter to Dame Hallett...

"I have asked the Cabinet Office for assistance in turning it on securely so that I can search it for all relevant material.

"I propose to pass all such material directly to you."

So basically he wants to review his own evidence before passing on what he claims to be relevant, whilst claiming that the Government are wrong to redact anything from his new phone. Just hand them the phone you duplicitous prick.
