Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

Micheal Fabricant on whether or not his defending of Boris Johnson led to a Knighthood.

You know, I’ve served the people of Lichfield for 31 years. I’ve been on the government or opposition front benches for about nine years. I helped save, when there was an issue over tax the National Memorial Arboretum. I helped move HS2 from going by a housing estate. A number of people have said that they are surprised it took so long.

Yeah righto you deluded fool.

Suspension would have been for 90 days if he hadn't runaway

The Privileges Committee concludes Boris Johnson should have been suspended from the House for 90 days.

It says he deliberately misled the House, the Committee, impugned the Committee and was "complicit in the campaign of abuse and attempted intimidation of the Committee."

It adds "We recommend that he should not be entitled to a former Member's pass."

I think this is going to test the theory that the UK is not as culture-war ready nor as polarised as the US. Honestly just wish he would fuck off and die.

So it would have been just for more than 10 days but because of his rants and raves they have increased it - Good!

The question which the House asked the Committee is whether the House had been misled by Mr Johnson and, if so, whether that conduct amounted to contempt. It is for the House to decide whether it agrees with the Committee. The House as a whole makes that decision. Motions arising from reports from this Committee are debatable and amendable. The Committee had provisionally concluded that Mr Johnson deliberately misled the House and should be sanctioned for it by being suspended for a period that would trigger the provisions of the Recall of MPs Act 2015. In light of Mr Johnson’s conduct in committing a further contempt on 9 June 2023, the Committee now considers that if Mr Johnson were still a Member he should be suspended from the service of the House for 90 days for repeated contempts and for seeking to undermine the parliamentary process, by:

a) Deliberately misleading the House

b) Deliberately misleading the Committee

c) Breaching confidence

d) Impugning the Committee and thereby undermining the democratic process of the House

e) Being complicit in the campaign of abuse and attempted intimidation of the Committee.

We recommend that he should not be entitled to a former Member’s pass.

That's a surprisingly brutal conclusion imo. 100% fair and accurate, but they've definitely left a mark with that. Should be a fun few weeks

It really is beyond comprehension that some people STILL defend this lying cunt.

His reaction to all this is pure Trumpian. I'm hoping this is the beginning of the end for him and he crawls back under the rock he came from, but you just never know with turds like Johnson and Trump. They simply won't flush.

It certainly sets up the debate regarding his suspension. I'm sure it would have been waived through but the extent of the suspension may lead to a few more of his former supporters to be willing to speak out against it. Hopefully they will and the shower that has been in charge for the last 13 years will rip itself apart.

Contempt of the Commons charges to follow? This knob should be first.

Johnson supporters take to Twitter

Johnson’s allies are sharing an "I'm backing Boris" image on social media to show their support for the former prime minister.
Brendan Clark-Smith was one of the first to post the image, which asks people to "share to back Boris".
The MP for Bassetlaw tweeted: "I am appalled at what I have read and the spiteful, vindictive and overreaching conclusions of the report.
"I won’t be supporting the recommendations and will be speaking against them both publicly and in the House on Monday.
"I’m backing fairness and justice - not kangaroo courts."

SNP deciding 90 days was not strong enough and only blowing him up would do

The BBC has to show balance which is why I can't listen to some of its output.

However, Jen in Whitely Bay is a Johnson supporter.

"I think it's a big stitch up. I'm so annoyed about it because they're all liars, I'm sure they are, apart from him.

"They've really, really gunned him down, I'm really so upset about it. I feel so sorry for Boris, they just want him out."

She added that she thinks Johnson did a really good job as prime minister.

They walk amongst us. I saw a Twitter thread yesterday where numerous people were saying in all seriousness what a good manager Lage was.

Sometimes even despite the blatant evidence right in front of them, people refuse to take an objective view.

I do find it especially odd with Johnson as he's quite clearly a horrible cunt and has never lived in the real world.

Outside of Parliament as well, the majority of people that like him/obsessed with him are the ones he he get his security team to put in hospital if they looked at him on one of his fake jogs around the corner.
He also thinks they are workshy scum.

I thought Bannerman gave up being a MEP because that particular gravy train had been derailed?

"I support British sovereignty"

"No, not that kind of sovereignty"

It's a nasty little trait of that element of the party, your views are welcome as long as you agree with what we say.
