Boris at it again and the contest to replace the lying c***

Boris losing his seat won’t have a huge impact as there will always be someone wanting a knighthood or Lordship who will step aside. Whether he would then win the seat is a different matter. I’d like to think Tory voters line those who turned against him in Devon and Wakefield have memories longer than a goldfish as to why they turned on him. None of this is happening before a GE and he’ll only have appeal if they lose and I really can’t see him leading the Tories in opposition for a few years so I think we’ll be spared a return for at least 7 years.

Always a chance Starmer grows some balls and investigates the dodgy Covid contracts and his dealings as Mayor and who knows where that could lead.

He loses his seat then he is out of parliament for five years unless someone steps aside (which they absolutely won’t once he is out, as his ability to offer knighthoods will be gone over and dusted). Assuming he gets an oppo at a safe seat the time after (big leap) he will be mid sixties and merely a back bencher at that point.

Minford?

He is a complete fraud.
Yep, but that's who she's citing as the economist she favours - that's who she quote on tbe R4 interview with Nick Robinson.

Johnson isn't losing his seat at the next election as he won't contest it

He needs someone else to stand aside then. And as he will no longer have gongs in his gift, good luck with that.

I see Nadine's big contribution to the leadership race is pointing our Rishi wears expensive shoes and Truss has some cheapo earings in, which of course makes here the perfect person for the job.

Presume Nadine has been offered a job in the cabinet should Truss win as she is now transferring that odd obsession she had with Boris over to her

we’ll be ok, the Poundland thatcher is getting lessons

Sunak is to be interviewed by Andrew Neil whereas Truss is adopting the Johnson tactic of hiding from him.

From a Guardian article in 2007.

But it is Nadine Dorries, the platinum-haired, Fendi bag-carrying Conservative member for Mid Bedfordshire whose thoughts on power dressing provide the most insight. She claims not to be an exponent of power dressing, merely wearing what suits her. But her black Hobbs jacket and her opinions on jewellery suggest otherwise. In a spooky echo of Vodianova she insists, "I will wear cheaper clothes but there are things I will not compromise on, like my £6,000 diamond earrings."

Translation: "I now realise that I'll make nowhere near as much money post-politics as I thought I would, as there's far less demand for my shit comedy routine for speeches or my appalling books and columns".

He doesn't actually have to "wipe away" anything. He hasn't resigned as anything.

Well that was an absolute bomb scare by both of them, however my particular favourite was Rishi declaring how proud he was that we stood up TO Ukraine...
