I'm not going to question your area of expertise, I don't doubt the info you've posted is correct but I have spent half of my working like over the last year or so explaining to national retailers why their stock is delayed. Most of those factors have been before the stock reaches the UK going from Covid outbreaks in China in both factories and ports, componentry shortages, lack of containers, shipping lines cancelling sailings or prioritising those that will pay most, Suez delays and vessels being rerouted to other ports prior to coming to the UK, because of how long it takes to dock here.
All that said in the last few months issues post getting to the UK have become more prevalent, some of that is Covid related - large numbers of staff self isolating either at port, our warehouse or that of the DC's, driver shortages in general - which is part Brexit and part people not taking tests over the last 18 months, but drivers running out of hours and therefore missing slots is definitely on the rise.
