Best holiday destinations

Almost certainly will be Boho. Easy to get served innit.

Places like the Hog and the London are insanely packed post-match.

North Devon yesterday. Mrs HW lent me against a rock and told me to look cool!

My better half has booked us 3 nights in Faro this weekend for my birthday (she only told me last night!). 2 questions: should I wear my new Wolves shirt and do you think I'll find anywhere showing our game on Saturday?

Landed in Birmingham at 4am this morning from a nice 7 night break to Antalya, Turkey. Stayed in a Tui Sensatori resort about 2 x miles out of Side (our 2 year old was free). Had a brilliant break although stepping off the plane to a 20 degree drop in temperature compared to what we’ve been used to was a shock to the system. Anyone with a young family who are able to go away out of term time, I would definitely encourage you to visit a Sensatori resort - it was brilliant for our daughter and not too busy. Was around 30 degree in temperature most days too. Had a day visit to Side which is a picturesque harbour town with interesting Roman temples etc. Too tired to give a more detailed review at this point, but I bloody love Turkey as a holiday destination (if you go to the right pleases).

Glad you had a nice holiday Jinks. I've only been to Turkey once - Gumbet I think it was about 20 years ago. Put me off for life, locals literally trying to drag you into their restaurants from the street, wolf whistling and letching at women as the walk by.

We’ve already booked to go back here next year.

I worked in a school in Antalya for a while in the early 90s. Loved it there. And had a couple of trips to Side which we also really liked.

I've booked tickets to see Mumford and Sons next year in Lisbon on 25th April & Barcelona on the 27th April.

Will be spending 3 days in each city, your recommendations are welcome!

Lisbon is amazing. But steep!

Barcelona;

Garage Tap
Mikeller Tap
Edge Brewing
Black Lab
Centro Bar
Cat Bar
Coco Vail
Caravelle

There's a couple of others whose names escape me.

There's some good touristy shit too btw.

Barcelona is an unbelievable city. Enjoy!

Shame you have to ruin it by watching Mumford & Sons...

Puerto Rico in the Caribbean was interesting. Like a mini version of the US with a Caribbean twist, as it's a US territory. But unlike the US it has lots of history as it was invaded multiple times by the Spanish and the British so they built a big fort around the Harbour. Would like to return. Scorching hot too, 90 degrees.

Currently in South Africa we've been to the Dinokeng national park (seeing 4 of the big 5 plus giraffes, hippos, wildebeest, etc) in a place called Leopard Song lodge. Highly recommended, the staff are fantastic and extremely good value for money, around £1.40 for a bottle of beer... Great evening meals and a good breakfast (lunch was a toastie with salad or chips, nothing you can possibly be excited by).

Now in Cape Town in Camps Bay. I probably wouldn't reccomend as there isnt really enough of a restaurant/bar choice and there is an obvious issue with poverty (though they don't appear to be native to South Africa, more people escaping hardships elsewhere).
