Bellend commentators

Rules of commentary are straight forward all the audience is interested in is how and why it happened, the how is for the commentator and the why is for the co-comms.
Personally I don’t want part time humour or old fashioned sayings it’s not soccer aid.
I don’t need useless information about how the two teams met 60 years ago it’s got zero baring on the current situation.
Be comfortable with an occasional silence, Richie Benaud and Barry Davies were masters of it.

Clive always has the desperate need to find a line to be remembered. He covers a big game and he wants a moment on history but he scripts it. As if he spent the week going through numerous outcomes and finding the best line to use if it happens.
The historic moments in football comms are generally not scripted.

He had one thought he was on the mic when Man Utd did the treble in 99.
Problem for him was the drama around the end of that games massively covers over the commentary “ Solskjaer has won it” was his line

He actually does do that.

Listening to the same thing as 40 years ago isn't an option the world has moved on.

And commentary and punditry really isn't straight forward.

Never said it was an easy job though just stated that IMO a good starting point is the how and why. There’s absolutely no harm in learning from what people have done well in the past and adapting your on style on that.
Not saying be just like Brian Moore et al, principles are the same though you’re watching on a screen with a commentator apart from picture quality that’s pretty much the same.

Marvellous stuff here where Box Bonce berates his detractors for never checking stuff and makes a typo of his own in the fucking title.

I mean the actual content is mindless, fantasist drivel, as always.
I wandered onto this one:

It's a hell of a rabbit hole, each entry contains something absolutely ludicrous :D

He's such a horrible person, can't resist throwing in personal digs for no reason.

Emma Hayes still going on about "Modrick". How the fuck do you keep getting that wrong.

Laura Woods has quit Talksport Breakfast and will take over from Jake Humphrey as main anchor on TNT Sports

Briefly caught Sam Matterface and Perry Groves laughing and making the Ruben Neves video yesterday turned it off before I got even more annoyed. ITV have made some achievement by replacing one bellend with an even bigger one as chief commentator.

A player crying about leaving Wolverhampton in the PL to go sign a huge contract for Al-Hilal in their prime isn’t exactly great optics to the outside is it?

The thing is, thousands of Wolves fans will see it as his love for the club/fans and be touched by it.
Whereas a couple of family members care about what Matterface and Groves think, no-one else gives a shit.
