Indeed, IIRC you're not overly fond of Lambics/Geuzes, whereas I absolutely love them.

Indeed, there not for me but fair play to those who like them. I don't think I'd be tipping them in the sea though.

Not overly keen on stouts or porters. Some I can drink, especially barrel-aged stuff.

I'm no connoisseur, but agree that cheapo lagers don't have much taste, like Golden Glow, Bathams, Shropshire Gold and most of the local smaller breweries offerings. My favourite stout atm is Hobsons DhuStone

I'm not really a beer snob and can take or leave a lot of real ales. I like a decent IPA and a lager with a bit if colour and flavour. Hop House 13 is probably my favourite but Guinness have stopped making it (or at least exporting it to the UK) I believe. Also like Staropramen and Moretti. There are some ales I like, Doom Bar and some Brew Dog ones, but I'm really not bothered about some of the craft beers. They sound great and are obviously liked by purists but to me a lot of them taste like shite.

I had Northern Monk's Heaven (2021) last night. I really enjoyed it. It's an 11% Bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout.
