Arsenal (H) 18/2: Build-Up & Match Thread

Apart from Santi Bueno (who should be our captain next season), Joao G and possibly Mane, I hate absolutely every single player in our squad.

It’s quite an achievement.

I hate those three too, if I’m honest.

I despise the entire club.

I've seen us completely outclassed but this is the first time I've seen us start a game not even trying to compete
You didn’t watch the Forest game did you? (Genuine question, as it was exactly like this but even worse)

Not even trying to draw at this point.

It's still hard for me to be too upset with the players when it's literally everybody and not just JSL or other singular slacker. This is deeply rooted culture problem and RE has made it so untenable that the entire squad look like they know he doesn't think they can handle it.

Your boss thinks you're shit, he's just as shit as he thinks you are, the fans think you're shit, the pundits think you're shit, half of your own teammates probably think you're shit at this point. There is nothing short of divine intervention that can turn the tide on so much toxicity. It fucking hurts me, man. Mosquera had gotten over his attitude issues in Cincy; now he's been in such a fucking trash environment for long enough that he has either totally regressed or just doesn't care, because either way it's not making a difference to the outcomes we're about to reap.

I disagree you can see clearly they’re second to every ball passing on runners, and demanding fouls that don’t exist.
These aren't just about effort tho, really. I think you're more right than wrong in this case, though, sadly.

I don't think they're not trying, they're just absolutely shit.

This is it for me. People get frustrated by Joao and complain he can't pass some weeks, but when you saw him vs Grimsby he looked clear standards above everyone else. You could put a world class footballer in this team and theu wouldn't truly shine in a team like this, it just doesn't work like that. A great player needs to play as part of the team, and they will often be dragged down by a lesser team around them.

It’s more subconscious probably they know they’re playing for just pride whereas Arsenal are trying to win the league.
