As a year of football at Wolves, it has been fantastic. I never thought I would again be so enthused and delighted with the way Wolves play in my lifetime (having watched them enthusiastically in the 1950s when they were very successful and world-renowned).

As a year in world politics and in the stock market, however, it has been lousy and calamitous. The stock market particularly affects us pensioners. Thank goodness for Wolves, the bright spot in an otherwise bizarre year.

A big part of this (in the PL season more than anything) is the back 3 & keeper

5th best defensive performance so far as to goals conceded (& Spurs are only 2 goals better off) - 11th in scoring, but 3 today helps
