2018

It was. The entire experience was amazing.

One of the highlights of my year, outside of football even.

I didn't enjoy the Burton game, was so badly hungover that day lol.

We did get to see nearly every type of weather we have in this country over a 2 hour period as well.

Player of 2018 - Ruben Neves
Unsung Hero - Ryan Bennett
Best match - Spurs 1 Wolves 3
Best moment - the injury time chaos in Cardiff. Never seen anything like it before and never will again. And it effectively gave us the title
2nd Best Goal of 2018 (Neves is 1st) - Jota v Sheff Utd

Precisely this.

What we've been calling the snowmageddon! :ursofunny:

Watching everyone freezing their nads off from the comfort of a warm, heated box was good fun though :icon_lol:

That was possibly the coldest I've ever been. Even watched the last 10 mins of the first half in the concourse on the crappy TVs.

Player of 2018 - Neves
Unsung Hero - Bennett
Best match - Bolton away! Felt like the vanquishing of the play off semi finals!
Best moment - Jota vs Chelsea. Such an outpouring of relief from him and us, also, Darlo's brother loved it!
2nd Best Goal of 2018 (Neves is 1st) - Jota vs Sheff U

Player of 2018 - Neves
Unsung Heroes - Bennett, Coady, Doherty and a special mention to Jorge Mendes who I'm sure was the key factor in bringing Nuno to the club.
Best match - Middlesbrough away. Absolutely bossed the game until the sending off that wasn't for Boro. Then went crazy with our own 2 sending offs followed by time standing still for what seemed like an eternity.
Best moment - Stoppage time at Cardiff. My Mrs thought that I must have had a heart attack with all the wailing and cheering. She didn't bother coming downstairs to check mind!
2nd Best Goal of 2018 - Many fabulous goals to choose from but I'll go for Doherty's second against Reading. One of a number of superb team goals.

Player of 2018 - taking the year as a whole, Conor Coady
Unsung hero - Ryan Bennett and Matt Doherty, two players who are making the very most of their talent. And a special mention to the Wolves medical team as well
Best match - Battle of the Riverside
Best moment - Injury time at Cardiff and right now. 7th in the Premier League. Five years ago almost to the day this happened https://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/jan/06/wolves-dean-saunders-stale-solbakken
2nd best goal - a tie between Neves vs. the Blades and Jota in the same match.

You looked like death warmed up.

To put 2018 in perspective (i.e. Wolves in the top division) against the last four times Wolves finished in the top 10 (i.e. the 1970s) compare . . .

Top Tier End Year End Season
Season Position Position
1970/71 7 4
1971/72 6 9
1972/73 7 5
1979/80 9 6
2018/19 7

Given the fact that this season we are following up on a promotion from the 2nd tier plus the gap between the top teams and the rest is far more pronounced, this is a phenomenal achievement by the club.

With the plans Forum have for the club they must be incredibly encouraged to continue the "Wolves Revolution" ! And, of course, the glue that holds it all together is Nuno - easily our best manager since Stan Cullis (and it was a different game back then when Wolves were the best club/team in the country).
