2015 Cricket World Cup Australia/ New Zealand

4 wickets for 31 runs hopeless again against a bowling attack that would only hold there own in the Birmingham League.
We'll probably post 280 and then skittle Scotland for about 170. Morgan and Moores will probably boast about a comfortable win.

It's not really good enough from where we were. If we can't post a big total against Scotland, with a great platform then who can we do it against?

Any of the test nations would be able to chase this total down with ease.

Should have ended up with a lot more than 303 after the start we had but it was more than enough today. I expect us to lose comfortably to SL and probably struggle against Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

It was comfortable in the end against sub standard opposition, I think SL aren't in a good place either currently so it might be a tight game.

Realistically I think we need to bowl/field really well to win games against the good teams as we just won't get enough runs

Bell's innings was painful to watch but whilst Moeen was going so well it wasn't really hurting the team. I hope that by having a fifty under his belt will give him the confidence to be more expansive in the rest of the group games.

I think we are lucky we are in this group in Australia. I could see us losing to Bangladesh in Asia and going out.

Lucky on a couple of counts, as you say Bangladesh are likely to be sitting ducks in these conditions but at the moment with our frailties they may well have beaten us on the sub continent, and also lucky that we fell into this side of the draw and didn't get Ireland, who might well have beaten us again.

We will beat Afghanistan and Bangladesh which will be enough to go through unless some weird stuff elsewhere happens. Us vs Sri Lanka looks like a match between two poor teams, they came fairly close to losing vs Afghanistan and were truly woeful in the opening game vs NZ.

Quiet day for Chris Gayle as he hits a double ton!

0/1 to 372/1, ( finishing 2 as Gayle went off the last ball). I'm assuming some World and World Cup records have been broken there.

16 sixes is a world cup record. I love watching Chris gayle in that sort of mood.

Was brilliant listening to Gayle on the radio this morning, everything I love about cricket.

Ireland have rather let UAE get away from them, but they will still be confident of reaching 279
