Personally, I wouldn't play with wingers with the players we currently have available. No, I would set us up with a flat back four, with three sweepers, and three defensive mids in a 3-4-3-0 formation when the opposition has the ball.
When we win possession I would go with three at the back...
Wallace has done nothing that Byrne didn't do in the lower leagues. Neither are good enough for the top half of the Championship. Ward would fit them both in his pocket at the same time and still have room for his hankies...
6 points from 9, we have finally turned the corner. A win against Blues on Sunday and all will seem rosey in the Golden Garden. Also, hearing that Edwards is back in light training....
I thought we were desperately unlucky at the end not to grab a point, as we threw everything at them bar the kitchen sink and Boro were hanging on by their finger nails. It all bodes well for Tuesday night when we can make it 6 points out of a possible 9 – not too shabby.
Same XI to start...
We all know that Ken's version of 3-5-2 would in fact be 5-3-2.
Three immobile centre backs with the wing backs tucked in, and 3 defensive mids in front of them. Can't wait.
I agree, but the question is "are we missing him"?
In my opinion, we are. But I accept we have many, many other issues. But we had them before, when some people were openly celebrating that he had picked up an injury.... as if it would be the answer to all our troubles.
6 matches played since Christmas to end Jan - 4 wins 1 draw 1 defeat - 13 points from 18
5 matches played in February - 0 wins 2 draws 3 defeats - 2 points from 15
Are we missing Dangerous Dave ?
6 matches played prior to his injury - 4 wins 1 draw 1 defeat - 13 points from 18 PROMOTION FORM
5 matches played since his injury - 0 wins 2 draws 3 defeats - 2 points from 15 RELEGATION FORM
That is all she wrote.
That's OK then. He was only having a private joke with his friends about what mugs he thinks we all are to pay to watch him ponce about week after week after week.
Phew, for a minute there I thought he was taking the pi55.
I would go with the same XI that started on Saturday. There are no easy matches in this division, especially away from home, and the lads were only ten minutes or so away from a very credible point.
We've a mid table squad, with a mid table manager, about to finish the season mid table.
