As I say, I don't doubt the authenticity of what he's heard, but it's not like Matt Hobbs is posting, just someone who knows someone. Very little of what he's said in the last 2 years or so has actually happened, even though I believe it was discussed, so we might sign Antonio or we might not. I'm ignoring the playing the victim post above.

Nobody is paying £17m for him. It’s pretty obvious we want rid and there’s more chance of a bidding war over the contents of my wheelie bin than over Silva.
Hopefully we can find a buyer that thinks they can realise his potential but I won’t hold my breath.
Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll have a good season wherever he goes, which convinces them to cough up the fee.
