No team news as yet but you'd imagine if everyone comes back fit from international duty then it'll be the same starting XI as Southampton, with Bellegarde and Munetsi playing off JSL.

I'd expect that. Gunna be a close game, they look slightly better with Potter in charge but not by much, think they have a fairly poor squad, certainly no better than ours, hopefully they will already be on the beach and we're a bit more motivated than them.

P9 W3 D2 L4 under Potter in the league.

Over the last 9 our form is P9 W3 D1 L5 so not much to choose.

Leaving O'Neil in charge for the away game still annoys me, why throw away a game (and the next one at home to Ipswich).

We did have a good record against these, less so recently:

2024/25: L 1-2 (A)
2023/24: L 1-2 (H), L 0-3 (A)
2022/23: W 1-0 (H), L 0-2 (A)
2021/22: W 1-0 (H), L 0-1 (A)
2020/21: L 2-3 (H), L 0-4 (A)
2019/20: W 2-0 (H), W 2-0 (A)
2018/19: W 3-0 (H), W 1-0 (A)
2015/16: L 0-1 (A, FAC)
2010/11: D 1-1 (H), L 0-2 (A)
2009/10: L 0-2 (H), W 3-1 (A)
2004/05: W 4-2 (H), L 0-1 (A)
2003/04: L 1-3 (H, FAC)

I wonder how Passive Max will cope with Larsen. Hopefully he stands off and gets bullied in the air.

The Cunha question was a bit weird. Why wouldn't we play him when he's not suspended?
There are people on here that have said they wouldn't if we appeared safe. My view fwiw is if it was obvious that next years front 3, or 2 behind 1 (assuming that was the formation) were already here I'd be in agreement, the more games they get together the better the chemistry, It's not, so I'm not

Tbf more than one person on here has mooted not picking him if we're basically safe after Ipswich away (you would think we will be if we don't lose there).

Suffice to say I don't agree.

Yeah, if he's available he has to play for me (unless he was being disruptive/a negative presence, which I feel his new contract has negated).

Especially when the replacements are the likes Sarabia and Forbs who are probably both leaving as well, or Guedes/Hwang, who are...suboptimal

Regardless of whether we're safe, I still want to see us playing well, scoring goals and winning games where we can

Plus you only have to look at our finishes to 2021/22 and 2023/24, and how that bled into the following season (albeit in both cases because the manager clearly had fundamental failings, more obviously in the case of Lage who didn't have the cover of an injury crisis and was a fucking prick) to see that you don't want to just write games off and keep losing every week, regardless of whether Objective A is complete or not.

Yeah the closer we can finish to West Ham and Everton the better anyway, I hate looking at the league table
