Wolves v Watford: Matchday Thread

drives me nuts when you guys talk about lineups but don't post it. :icon_lol:

I feel the same but was waiting to see if anyone was going to post a proper matchday thread.

Wolves v Watford (H) 28/9 Matchday Thread

So Jota injured, Bennett and Neves on the bench.
Boly stays on the right with Saiss back from his ban on the left.

Midfield of Moutino, Donk and Neto

Lovely team goal that, and fantastic movement from doc to get into the six yard box

State of this thread :icon_lol:

GET IN.

Just play Doc up front :icon_lol:

Great goal. Liquid football.

Loving Neto. What a find him and Jordao are. £20m favour though ay they.

Not sure why we need two threads so I've merged them.

So Traore crosses it and it hits their left backs hand in the box - not intentional, did stop the cross - is that an automatic penalty or is it dependant on intent? I’ve lost track.

Handball from a Traore cross. Should have been a pen.

Not unnatural position but arm out and stopped the cross.

Didn't get back in till we had scored, but Watford seem to have had all the play and ball since I have been watching.

Slightly concerned at the way Raul has gone down there, didn't look like a lot of contact but appears to have down something to his back, hope it's just a strain/knock and he is fine to carry on.

Look a lot more composed today.

Think the change in shape has helped a lot defensively, being able to drop back to effectively 541 means the central midfielders aren't getting dragged out wide all the time, also seem to have lost that tendency to go too direct too early, whether that's through players being a bit more composed or just lacking the options with Jimenez often alone up there now.

Doherty looked better and more like himself to me anyway. Got Sky Sports on too and Clinton Morrison who is watching out game view completely contridicts what I said above, so as he didn't spend most of the first half in Tesco, going to imagine he has a better opinion.

Pretty poor game. One lovely move , one goal, one shot on target. Certainly need another at least.

Docs been alright to be fair, not done anything wrong, great movement for the goal, I wouldn’t say he’s looking unfit or anything.

We’ve played well. Some lovely football at times

Did VAR not check the handball? It looked like a penalty to me

VAR is not going to give that. It's subjective so won't overrule the ref
