Wolves v Sunderland 02/05 - Build up and match thread

So we're playing against 10 men, 10 men playing for a team who have won 3 out of the last 10 games, have conceded 9 in their last 2 and are in the bottom half of the league. We have nothing to play for, win, draw, lose, get battered, makes no difference.

So riddle me this Robert, why the fucking hell do we need three centre halves?

We're basically just Luton under Edwards. Swap Hugo Bueno for Alfie Doughty and it's exactly the same "plan

H Bueno has probably been the best player and he’s been shit.

I think Rob will be pleased with that first half. It's hard playing against 10 men dontcha know? Moschera man of the match after that Oscar winning performance.

RE can’t be positive even when there’s nothing really to lose. What’s he going to do next season when we’re favourites to win matches?

It's our only idea of how to get anything from this game. Bueno's delivery is better than Alfie Doughty's but Calvin Morris was probably far more likely to score with his head than Tolu ever is.

I think this is the worst Wolves team I can remember. Not just in terms of quality, there may well have been poorer teams when we plummeted down the leagues in the '80s, but in terms of connection to the fans, of players who you actually have some affection for, in terms of attitude, in terms of return on investment, this is the worst Wolves team I think in my lifetime of supporting the club.

In fairness, the result is the one thing he can’t control. The result and the performance. Two things he can’t control are performance levels, the result and motivation. The three things he can’t control are results, performance levels, motivation and a fanatical commitment to five at the back…

It doesn't even feel particularly close.

You think how shit Jones's team was right? This lot aren't ANYWHERE NEAR in terms of points. Rancid.

Yeah and the scary thing is the manager is saying that he is "getting the most from the group" and against Spurs thinks they played well. His position is untenable .

In fairness, he probably had a charity event last night so he was otherwise engaged.
