Wolves v Stoke: Carabao Cup Rd 2

We could rest most the starting 11 for City and still put a strong team out for this. Half the players need minutes.

It’s been said already but Ruddy, Vinagre, Buur, Kilman, Sanderson, Neves, Vitinha, Silva, Jota is a very strong team which should see of Stoke with ease, rotates the squad and gets players minutes who can then go again next week against Gillingham.

No issue with Coady being the other CB, he won’t have to do much and the other forward position can be shared between Podence and Neto. One play 60 the other 30.

Talk of playing the U23s is stupid. We can make the QF probably without having to even try and play a strong team. Then depending on the draw, how we’re doing in the league and our schedule/fitness we can decide whether to take it serious.

One legged semi and with the “big 6” having mental schedules with Europe you won’t get an easier chance to win something regardless of the prize being a bit shit. Trophy is a trophy.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nuno were to use the game as a belated pre-season friendly. He spoke about some of the squad not having had minutes during the international break. A weakened Stoke side would seem to provide a perfect opportunity to do so. (Even a full-strengh Stoke side would.)

Agree with this. Suspect the side may be stronger than many people think. Really hope we have a go at winning this. Leeds, Saints and Palace already out: Blades or Burnley will go tonight and Leicester or Arsenal in the next round.

i think i read somewhere that stream/commentary had to be paid for due to EFL rule. just checked and commentary is on BBC WM (but not online)

Its the EFL who are providing the stream rather than Wolves doing it and charging

Just paid 2.50 through Wolves TV for the commentary.

God, this is a pain in the arse. Had to create an account with Carabao Cup, then transfer money into my never-used PayPal account to pay for it, which may or may not get there in time. £2.50 to Wolves TV seems like a more stress free option

Just line a credit/debit card to your paypal and payment should be immediate.

Are we saying wolves comms have to be paid for tonight??? If so I will never get anywhere near fixing that by ko time!

i'm coughing up the tenner- dont want to miss the first game in a wolves shirt of possibly one of our greatest ever players.

I meant on TV, rather than online, but the game is being listed in the usual places, so a stream is obviously anticipated.

I forget that iptv is not that widespread in the UK. Everyone in spain has iptv, including all the bars.
I have Bein dish at the bar and 3 iptv boxes, one iptv box at home. I will watch it in the bar

If you are referring to Mr Fabio(lous) - (random Blues Brothers reference inserted for no real reason whatsoever)

Then most expensive (so far) - one of the greatest?

Will defer judgement on that till he has played for us.

there is a " possibly " in there !

Oh my goodness, that's an exciting team. Front 3 of Adama - Fabio - Vitinha

Strong team
Boly Coady and Saiss all start

As does Neves and Dendonker and Adama

Starts for
Vinagre, Vitinha, Burr, Silva and Ruddy

Surprisingly strong.

Jota oddly missing from the squad, Shabani on the bench.

Vokes starting for them, Batth and Fletcher on the bench.

Would have been good to see more U23s in the squad.
