Wolves - Norwich Match Thread

Late to the party - doing reasonably well so far :icon_biggrin:

(shouldn't have logged on clearly as Norwich pull one back!!)

That really shouldn't have got through all our bodies and into the net.

Jota is raising his profile here as he races onto another nice ball and I think Zimmerman gets it past the post for a corner.
Ball comes over and it's whipped over hard and fast, hard to defend against and N'Daye whacks it in with his head, far side of the goal area to the top left corner. Delicious stuff.
They're struggling to cope with us.
Norwich get a free kick and Zimmerman takes it hard and it takes the slightest deflection into the net past a frustrated Ruddy. Not much you can do to defend against that sort of excellent delivery. Hard, fast and diagonal about 4 yards out flicked with his head.
I suppose the best way to defend against those is don't give the fucking free kick away so close to the box....

Thought that was a very soft free kick for the ref to award given some of the kicks out on Jota and Costa so far. We need to take control now - conceding straight after going 2-0 up is sloppy.

Norwich's high press is making us give it back to Ruddy who then lumps it forward. That last one went straight off the pitch.

Jota is down and not getting up. Looks in trouble.

Jota again being marked and takes another clatter.
That's 5 or 6 shitty kicks he's been on the end of.
Now getting treatment.

Maddison looks very good for them. Everything goes through him.

Booking for Neves. That's him suspended for Fulham. Burrows says also for Reading. Is that right?

And that's Neves booked and gonna be suspended.

Was a yellow too. Slid through the back of him.

Neves booked & therefore out for 2 - pity it's going to be the Fulham game for one of them

Had to come. Neves with a sliding tackle irritates the ref and he gives him his 10th yellow. 2 matches off now.
Misses Fulham and Reading.
Stimulates the debate about what's a foul and what's a yellow....

Derby losing, Fulham and Cardiff both drawing for now.

Gutted about Neves' suspension. I'm going to the two games he's suspended for!

I've often railed against the way the ref sees these things.
So many times after a ref has issued a yellow card the next foul always ends up as a red. Unless it's a bad foul the player should stay on if there are only mild fouls or little offences.

Not so fussed about the Reading game, but the Fulham one would have suited his play particularly well
