Wolves - Man City Pre-Season Cup Final Match Thread

Away kit looks boss.

MGW looks tidy under pressure

Been impressed with him. Slight change of shape for us with MGW and Moutinho playing as AM narrow with Jota as the main forward.

Looks like something we may see more of if successful.

Adds an extra man in midfield too without having to commit the wingbacks forward.

Don't get why they haven't taken Rui off.

Jota making a nuisance of himself again.

Should've been a free kick on Traore. Good run from him.

Traore goes down but nothing given. VAR would have picked up that he had his shirt pulled.

Should have been a penalty

That was more of a pen than their’s

Thought so in real time, but the replay showed the defender just shielded the ball nicely, minimal contact. I think Adama was looking to get even for the pen he conceded earlier

We don’t seem as calm on the ball today. I know the level of the opposition is much, much better - but we’re a decent side & just seem to be lacking a bit of composure.

Excellent burst by Traore there.

The defender behind him pulled his shirt, quite clearly

Haven't seen just how bad a time he's had, but one could expect that defending against Sterling would provide Adama with some very valuable experience.

Jonny has made two suicide balls into the box. Get your act together man

In the London watching it, Cass was missing the match days :icon_lol:

We’re going to have to get used to Traore at RWB, that’s where he’ll be playing this season when he does play.

Need to watch their own again, but it was odd that from a ball in from their left channel that Bennett wasn't anywhere to be seen.

Thursday isn't far away. Looking forward to seeing both of you for our first European football since I was 8.

Let's hope Traore gets used to it too.

Most of the time he's getting the runaround from Sane and Sterling

I've been growing more fond of the away shirt the more I've seen it. I'd still prefer no stripes but it's likely I'll buy it.

The thing that still bugs me the most is how the front black panel is noticeably shinier than the rest of the shirt's matt black.
