Wolves History Thread

Bloody ell, you forget as the years go by just how many great goals he scored

34 years ago today:

Think that 2nd is the best goal I ever saw Andy Mutch score. Never used to be a thing of beauty his strikes, but that's a pearler.

Also note Ron Atkinson in charge of Wednesday, wearing sunglasses. I also saw him wearing sunglasses at Molineux when we played Coventry in 1995. It was a night game in November.

Team:

---------------------------Stowell-----------------------

Bennett------------Hindmarch------Clarke------Thompson

Birch---------------Downing--------Cook--------Dennison

---------------------Bull-----------Mutch-----------------

Subs: Steele, Todd

Some big names on show for Wednesday. Viv Anderson, Carlton Palmer, Peter Shirtliff, John Sheridan, Danny Wilson, David Hirst and off the bench, Trevor Francis.

The only bright spot this in a BLEAK run, Turner lucky to survive it really.

Those 2 home games at the top were truly horrible.
Stancliffe og v Barnsley was funny mind.
Oxford at home we were 3 up at half time, in fact we were 3-1 up with about 4 minutes left and still didn’t win.
