Wolves Academy Thread

Taylor, Francis and Jordao notable absentees.

Ahh, was thinking they might be back. But I'm probably just losing track of days!

Not a great start. 1-0 down after 25 seconds.

Otasowie, marques, Sanderson and Campbell have all looked good tonight.

Otasowie is seriously quick - but Marques is superb for a 16 year old. Was really impressed by what I saw of all of them, though, albeit I only saw the last 30 mins

Really impressed with the kids tonight. They were physically much bigger than us all over the park (apart from Ashley-Seal who is an absolute unit) but we were very disciplined tactically and more than a match technically.

Chem Campbell is a fucking baller and gave them problems all game but should've buried his chance at the end of the 2nd half. Watt, Perry & Cundle were all technically very assured in the middle, Cundle especially looks a very good footballer. Otasawie (sp?) was excellent as well at the back, an excellent defender with good feet.

Special mention for Christian Marques though, he was absolutely superb. I'd go as far as saying that off the back of that if Coady picked up an injury/suspension I'd be more than comfortable with Marques slotting straight into the first team.

Kitolano the only one who really struggled tonight.

First up, it was incredibly cold last night! The wind really hits the lower tier of the NB, we're quite well insulated upstairs but that was brutal.

PSG were definitely a lot more physically developed than us, we gave them a goal start (nicely enough worked but we didn't look switched on) but we more than matched them after that. Good football from both sides albeit without a huge amount of goalmouth action at either end.

Otasawie, Marques and Cundle the standouts. Still persisting with Sanderson at RWB which seems odd to me, he's very Iorfa in that role, he's got the legs to get into good areas but not much of a clue when he gets there.

Their number 11 was rapid, he'd give Adama a run for his money in a race.

Enjoyable stuff other than the weather, around 5,500 there.

The back 3 looked very accomplished from the second minute onwards, potentially the majority of the team fielded last night would have a good shout at first team football at some point. Result excellent considering a few of the better players missing - Shabani (who has looked sharp), Jordao and Francis. The academy is looking impressive.

Not sure I'd want to see a 16 year old isolated against Ashley Barnes, but I take your point. He's a tremendous prospect

If Coady is isolated against any forward then something has gone wrong. We set up defensively to mitigate that. With Boly and Bennett either side that's relatively simple, Donck did that role against Villa

"Wolves’ Premier League International Cup tie with Athletic Club on Wednesday 27th November will now take place at St George’s Park.

The tie was initially scheduled at Telford, but has now been moved to the FA base, still with a 7pm kick-off.

350 tickets are now available at tickets.wolves.co.uk, priced at £4 for adults and £2 for children, and must be printed at home in advance. "

Bloody Wednesday. I'm always out on that night or I would have gone.

Blast from the past with Jordan Graham playing tonight as part of the front two. He just won a penalty but had it saved.

BAS put Wolves ahead early on - spun a defender well, raced away and kept his composure to put it in the far corner.

Coudn't reconise Jordan as he has no hair now (assuming that I am looking at the right player)

Sanderson has looked useful on the bits I have seen so far.

Jordan Graham looked very ordinary last night. Perhaps a measure of how far the Under-21s have progressed, rather than how far he’s regressed?

Maybe he was never very good?
