Down to second in the table as the scoring system is shite.

You get as 1 point for each second left and only 1 point for each goal or hitting the bar. The Leicester kid missed the bar and a goal but because he was quicker has taken the lead. The next kid should just spanner it anywhere and complete it as quick as he can.

Pardington, Carty, Samuels, Smith, Agboola and Young could all have gone. They're never going to play for us.

Carty and Samuels are the only recognised strikers we have in the u23s. I agree that they won't player for us but unless we have someone better it's pointless to leave ourselves short.

Partington I'd agree with, haven't really seen enough of Joe Young or Agboola to have an opinion.

For those players it’s not so much about playing for us, the club have been quite clear they want the academy to be self sustaining.

someone like Samuels we will end up letting go for nothing but with a decent sell on clause. That way if he does manage to make something of himself and get bought we will get a bit of income.

agree that it’s felt quite bloated at times they just need to find a better balance.

also, the club haven’t actually done the retained list yet have they? That’s just Joe Edwards saying some of the ones he knows about

I wouldn't be surprised if the club are being slightly more accommodating with retaining some of these lads as given the situation in the lower leagues, it could be very easy for them to fall through completely.
