Wolves 1 - 1 Nottingham Forest - the verdict thread

Edwards pressed and won the ball back at times but that's not what I want our advanced midfielder doing. I feel sorry for him as he's a genuinely good bloke and you know what you'll get from him but it just isn't enough for the system.KJ seemingly wants to play.

Forest were awful. We were little better. Two set piece goals and two teams who could muster up sod all in open play.

I partly agree with Trev, look at the way that shite performance vs Blackburn under Saunders was inexplicably lapped up. You could maybe excuse it under a new manager trying to suss out what the squad is all about. When it's the same manager putting out the same stuff with the same results, and it's unequivocally his squad, his team, then it's completely inexcusable. You can get away with playing rubbish football to an extent if you're getting results, we aren't even doing that. It is infuriating that the manager repeats the same mistakes over and over, not even complex stuff, the kind of thing that any casual observer could tell him. He deludes himself into thinking we're playing well too - we did not play well against MK Dons, by all accounts we did not play well against Rotherham and we did not play well tonight, whatever he says.

Very disappointing. As the team began to tire no sub's again. The master stroke of Afobe for ALF failed, shock horror. Not good enough at home, crowd however was amazing great atmosphere.

Entertaining enough (strangely) but two sloppy goals and nothing really to split the two teams. At times we raised the tempo put a few dangerous crosses in but as usual our passing and movement in the final third wasn't cohesive or thoughtful. Thought Mac and Price controlled the midfield and deserve better ahead of them. Having said all that, we were excellent at winning the ball back when we lost it (which was quite frequently). Play it on the floor please.

MoM MacDonald.

Please Jackett grow some balls and play two strikers at home against struggling teams. And if he thinks ALF is a lone forward were in serious trouble.

We got the ball down and played around them in the second half apparently.

Not sure what game he was watching.

Joke of an attitude by KJ. Reactionary changes when it was too late, and then still refusing to go 2 up front. Seemingly no desire to go for the win.

Possibly the worst Edwards performance I've seen for a good while. Offered no outlet, spent a lot of time dawdling around further up field then ALF (what's the point of a 5th midfielder that does that?!). He was, again, blowing out of his arse on 65 minutes. Hands on hips, 10 yards behind the game, constantly taking on fluids and ended up costing us possession in our own half more than a couple of times - in fact I think it was one such careless moment from him that led to their corner.

Also I'm having concerns about Iorfa at the moment. Seems a shell of a player. Clumsy on the ball and no confidence to take on his man. Needs to get his head down and put in some solid fuss-free performances.

I thought we played better, generally, in the second half. Fewer hoof balls, KMac and Price more involved and a bit more discipline all around. Still nowhere near enough attacking intent. For all our possession out wide, ALF didn't get any service today. Not a single sniff at goal for a lone striker as prolific as him is criminal.

A complete shift in attitude and intent is required.

News to me. We put 4-5 passes together at various points while posing precisely zero threat but that's not really what he's suggesting. He's wedded to this style and I just do not understand why. You can blame injuries and departures all you like, 10 goals at home in 10 games is woeful.

Quality central midfield pair criminally wasted by a zombie manager lurching towards the sack.

I thought in parts we were good and we certainly have a team which is much better than the results. Held back by an increasingly lost manager and a coaching staff of particularly average quality.

Just for picking Dave Edwards KJ should have the sack, he was the worst player on the pitch tonight by a stretch.

Time to go. I seriously doubt I will go again for a while. It is that bad.

That's how I felt afte Brentford. It's strange but watching it on TV tonight without commentary or crowd noise (but a strange '80's and '90's music soundtrack) was much more enjoyable than normal.

Average fair no doubt but watching Graham and Price/ KMac was enjoyable.

And I could only feel for the crowd, they looked frozen.

Still persisting with hoofing it to ALF and Henry, awful style of football. Being in the Southbank was the best part of the night.

Ha ha ha its a fucking joke. And you think I am a nutter slagging this shit off?

Edwards tended to interchange with Graham which puzzled me somewhat because it looked contrived rather than anything designed to get us goals. Graham is inexperienced, far from being anything other than a wannabee at the moment but he'll get the plaudits because he's the best of an ineffective bunch. We'd seen similar like Gobern and Zeli so i'll reserve judgment. Are our attackers given flash cards? Run X amount of miles, put x crosses in etc etc. Edwards played a pivotal part in what I thought was our 'controlling of midfield' which baffles when in effect he is supposed to be an attacking force rather than a cautious defensive role.
