Wolves 1-0 Chelsea: Verdict Thread

Deffo sung, not very loudly initially but following the announcement there were more people singing it.

The chant is essentially calling Chelsea gay, so not overly sure how anyone can think of it as anything other than homophobic? 🤷

Massive 3 points from a really good all round display - we are capable and if we did it more often we would be nowhere near the relegation scrap. Can't fault any of them today but the midfield in particular battled for everything and were full of steel. Matheus had his best game for us topped off by a goal that will surely be a contender for Goal Of The Month and Gomes was the aggressive warhorse we were promised, my MOTM and must start from now on.

All the subs contributed (Collins aside who was late in injury time), Adama was winning balls in the air, Hwang out on the left and Moutinho his usual assured, accomplished presence.

21 points gained under Lop now and up to 12th with Southampton gone and Leicester and Forest seemingly in freefall and other teams inbetween, everything feels a bit better right now. Nice to come out of Molineux so happy again!

If there is a shit, unfunny chant to be sung then our fans will sing it. Obviously, we’re won’t alone in that but you can see why fans of other clubs think we’re a bunch of cunts.
I used to hope it was because we were knew to the PL, but we’re still singing “Sign on”, some twat will definitely sing the usual Brighton stuff in a few weeks, this today. We’d definitely still have sheep shaggers if a welsh team was in the league. Most of it is people too stupid to understand what they’re saying and just think “haha this is what we sing to Chelsea”.

Classic Hwang moment today - ‘controlled’ the ball all the way back to Chelsea, but then chased it down brilliantly to almost create a chance. He is what he is, could do with out the K-pop style supporting behind me tho.

He plucked one out of the clouds today with the most deft of touches, my eyes nearly popped out.

Rent boys probably. I don't really understand how it's homophobic personally.

FFS it’s about as homophobic as you can get one of my former colleagues in the forces use to call myself it because he thought I was gay. He was eventually disciplined that was in 2000.
I’m in the north bank it was mostly from the south bank a couple of prat’s behind me joined in but a few glares and head shakes from a few seemed to stop them seemed to stem from the fact a Chelsea fan was wearing a pink top giving it large.
I mean how stereotype and moronic can you get. That corner of the south bank has been a pain in thaw arse for years now it’s where the 6-4 pitch invasion v Rotherham stemmed from it’s where the sign on chant usually starts.

Great win. A four point gap to 18th feels pretty seismic after how close it has been down there for the past 2-3 weeks, particularly with the likes of Southampton now getting left behind a bit and Leicester in free fall. Say what you like about this Wolves team but they do battle and fight for results and JLo has got them doing that - we often come from behind to nick results and it has been rare we’ve been utterly turgid (compared to under the predecessor anyway)

Grab a scrappy draw against Brentford and don’t lose to Leicester and everything will be rosier. Ultimately I don’t think we’ll go down but I’d rather it not be a final day affair!

As others have said, we need to keep battlers like Toti and Joao in the team - they’re what we need to see us safe, players who will put their bodies on the line and ultimately they’re two players who will be part of the squad (and in Joao’s case part of the starting eleven) next season.

Yep and the brain dead Southbank sang it in glee after the announcement on the Tannoy.

'WE'RE THE SOUTHBANK, WE SING WHAT WE WANT'

Hopefully a few knuckle draggers get banning orders in the mail next week.
Along with a letter saying "We're the club lawyers, we ban who we want".

As for the game the absolute perfect response to done dismal performances.
Firstly lop got his selection spot on today.
Toti I thought was immense, strong and confident going forward and composed in defence gave Reece James little room.
Gomes and Lemina just battled and broke up so many attacking situations, the amount of times you thought we about to be cut open it was broken up or stopped.
I thought Costa was very hard working and did everything but score.
Nunes very rare you can hear the net ripple being sat that far back but what a hit.
We were combative in every area and not easy to play against.
As for Chelsea wow I knew they were disjointed but they were atrocious, not once did Sa have to make a good save all day.

No doubt there will be loads saying it’s “PC gone mad”
Sorry using one phrase that’s derogatory towards a group within the LGBT community with sole purpose to cause offence to opposite fans isn’t PC gone mad.
Basically those morons are stating they wouldn’t accept a gay player, manager, owner or fellow fan.

Case in point this just appeared on my Facebook.
I responded no doubt I’ll get numerous people accusing me of being Woke, snowflake etc really intelligent stuff

How can the single out 3 people? Surely it was more like hundreds singing it?

Probably just a start with more to come, virtually impossible for authorities to carry out massive amounts of arrests in one go without a causing a bigger problem that already exist, b, having the facilities to process them and c having personnel to deal with them
