Wolves 0 Spurs 1 - Verdict Thread

I want RE gone today. He absolutely STINKS of being average in every conceivable way. If you’ve seen several matches with Armstrong up top by himself and still don’t do anything about it, that says it all for me. His record since taking over is an embarrassment and as others have said, he’ll now take that baggage into next season, so just bin him and start from scratch.

The players, I can’t be bothered to waste any more time commenting on how shit they all are (bar Joao who was the best player on the pitch by some distance).

Tbf there was no one left at the end.

What was the fucking Fosun flag about in the south bank too?

Just reading an article where Edwards addresses the South Bank booing him at half time so there were some boos but I never noticed, certainly nothing around by us. Didn't see him do his usual lap of appreciation either but maybe I missed it as was chatting to my mates

Spent all afternoon in the garden listening to the updates and just laughing at how bad it sounded.
A lot of these players when they leave we’ll never hear anything of them again and will end up in backwater leagues.

To be fair he inherited these losers so was on a hiding to nothing, but on the other hand he hasn’t made things better and I can’t see the football being anything but workmanlike next season even if we are near the top.

If it’s the same thing I’ve read, I think he was talking about the boos at the end when they went over to the South Bank.

I hate it but I’m staying to actively dislike him more every time he opens his mouth.

15 points from 23 matches and he’s lost 14. He’s not getting much more change out of his last 4 games either.
He’s improved fitness levels and maybe made us slightly better organised.
Apart from that he’s shown nothing that would indicate that he’s going to be able to make a significant difference next season.
Luton was his peak level and probably the the size he can feel comfortable at.
He’ll be fine at a club happy to come 12-21st in the championship.

I'm surprised that fans still manage to get annoyed.

It was a poor, low quality game, but that's our best chance. The few times we have won it's been a case of dragging the opponents downt to our level.

Tolu is the only striker who can hold the ball up, but he is seemingly a bit of a twat. We have no one to run in behind. Mane, at times, can beat his man, but he is the only one.

Our League One attack was better. There are many, many Championship teams with a better, more balanced attack on the pitch and the depth.

I know we all know this, but it's why I'm surprised people still come home fuming.

That might come across as a defence for Edwards, and I suppose it is, but I don't care for him, and I don't know one fan who likes him. But the main thing is that this team is shit, especially in attack and it's all a waste of time until the summer.

I thought H. Bueno was our best player, but his mistake led to the corner for the goal. No one else worth a mention really. Spurs were really bad. I've left that with more belief that they will now go down than before kick-off.

If we had anyone on the board with a football brain, you’d be asking around for a proper manager, we’re relegated they wouldn’t be getting the blame, sell it as a project again somebody out there would surely fancy giving it a go.
I’m not naming names, I don’t have the knowledge, but must be somebody good out of work at the minute.
I realise there’s a big hole in the plan I’ve just said, and it’s a footballing brain, we haven’t got, and aren’t likely to get one

A new low for me.
For about the 3rd time in a row, I really can't be arsed to watch us on MOTD.
sigh!

I would dread us getting someone like Russell Martin and making the situation worse. I suppose I have a dozen nicknames for him ready to go.

I don't understand why he picks teams that are obviously never going to create anything and are always going to be camped in our own half. Your three centre halves today are Matt Doherty, Santi Bueno and Toti. Leave one of them out and try something different higher up the pitch, because they're all shite.

I don’t remember the mid 80’s, the 12/13 side was hideous and unlikeable but the manager at the time was beyond a prick.
This lot are the worst I’ve seen, I’ve never disliked a group of wolves players as much as this lot. There’s no redeeming features either them at all.
Many will be offloaded but I worry they’ll be replaced by more hideous tripe.

I just imagine he doesn’t know how to do anything different. Cos he’s not very good. So he does this. Even though it’s shit. As it looks vaguely like he imagines it’s meant to look. But there’s no serious intent to play a winning game. He obviously should be fired, his record is appalling and his style of play is just a void.

I always hated 3-5-2 in the 90s and I fucking hate it now. Nuno made it work but he is the exception to the rule and he did it in a way you can't recreate (Coady's distribution and as much as I despise him, and I do, but Doherty's ability [then, he can't do it now] to get on the end of things if you never ask him to defend, ever).

It's stodgy fucking crap and we cling to it like a stupid comfort blanket. Fucking stop it. Now.

It was my team’s system from 1995 for pretty much my whole playing life. And man it was stodgeball. But Nuno played more a 3 - 4 - 3 no? With two players at the back post characteristic, so often the overlapping wing back picking an overhit cross up and recirculating it. Wing backs who knew and could play that game were so important.

What we’ve got now isnt even stodgeball. It’s just nothingball.
