Clearly he shouldn't be close to the starting line up of a team that is, nominally at least, in the PL and like all our centre halves can switch off, they had a chance today where he lost his man. However, whether he's captain or not he's the one who week in, week out, turns up to interviews and doesn't give up - look where he was when he won the penalty. If he'd signed 2.5 years ago without any of the history, it'd be seen as a solid squad player free transferHe's been very functional for a while now, was solid in Vitor's back 3 last year. Not sure why people are still going for him when I think its quite obvious he is one of the few who do care.
The fact that the total imbecile Lemina and the non footballer Toti have been captain says a hell of a lot more. Our best captain recently has been Conor Coady. I wished relegation on us when horseface treated him the way he did. Lost a lot of interest since then tbh.Whether he has been ok or not is moot, the fact that he is our captain after 8 seasons in the PL is a total joke.
This isn’t what you said though.Whether he has been ok or not is moot, the fact that he is our captain after 8 seasons in the PL is a total joke.
It it is an arguement. He is definitely a better right back than Tchatchoua, Lima and Hoever, probably R Gomes as well. It's someone who was mooching about on a golf course in July, who had barely kicked a ball in a year, who had exactly no offers on the table, and we happily handed him a three year deal.
And he isn't a centre half and he isn't a right back or a left back and he is definitely not a wing back any more.
He isn't why we're shit, he embodies why we are shit.
"X or Y are worse" is not an argument.
Doherty has a good first touch and reasonable control but the pace of a lame hedgehog means that every game this and his lack of concentration results in opponents getting two or three opportunities. As said above the fact the others aren’t much better is a perfect illustration of how badly run we have been since before his return. It it is an arguement. He is definitely a better right back than Tchatchoua, Lima and Hoever, probably R Gomes as well.
There is NO ONE else.
He's a better footballer than Agbadou and Toti - Percentage decisions with the ball tells as much.
He's never going to be Trent A A, or Kyle Walker. He does care and he gives it his best.
Keep on calling him fat is laughable.
Why don't you call Andre (the passenger) Mr. Gloves?
Bone idle, coward that lad.
Where have I done that, or anyone else?Keep on calling him fat is laughable.
Nonsense
Made your mind up 10 years ago or more and won't change it.
Selected by manager after manager but you know better.
Better captain than Toti, Lemina and the other arseholes who've been captain recently.
Not massively talented and is scruffy looking, but in most of his later career has been fit, lean, can read a game, played Martinelli well for the most part besides one run, last week, which he was never going to win.
Can win a header, play a first time pass, generally makes the correct percentage decision when he's got the ball.
Better footballer and more reliable and consistent than, Toti, Agbadou, Hoever, Tchatchoua.
Very low bar, I accept.
NoHad to smile at the South Bank singing the songs of our old players ...si senor..Diogo.. and we've got Neves ..does anyone think the board even got the point
Great to see RE walking past the South Bank applauding the fans and saying "I know, I know, it's ok".
It's not ok and if you know why are you playing the same formation with the same gameplan every week.
I think you give him too much credit. He was brought in with the express intention of mollifying the fans as 'one of us' and shielding Shi. Not playing winning football or actually trying to keep us up.
Unfortunately for both of them that was yet another Shi masterplan that failed spectacularly
The highlights do not do justice to how bad it is.Finally watched the highlights this morning. We were absolutely pathetic. Edwards hasn’t got a clue how to change it either.
Watching seven players defending and three further forward completely isolated was soul destroying. The fact it was against a team that had lost 7/8 away games was just adding insult to injury. Prior to MU I hadn’t left a game before the final whistle in over forty years, now I’ve left two and my only regret is I didn’t leave sooner or wait a bit so that I missed the rush. The highlights do not do justice to how bad it is.
Yeah its absolutely soul destroying sitting there week after week watching the same story unfold. There is literally zero joy or enjoyment in attending Molineux these days, a truly miserable place. The highlights do not do justice to how bad it is.
