Good luck to Ole getting Ronnie in that team without leaving them uber vunerable. Today showed up what a fraud he is, no real clue other than put out all the attacking players. 1st half he had Fred sat on his own and we fucking destroyed that space. Put Pogba deeper in the 2nd half which helped a bit but it somehow left space behind Shaw but we didn't make anything of it.

On us, so many positives but again all undone by our inability to score. Some bad luck, some awful finishing but fookin hell it feels like we will never score a league goal again.

Won't comment on Mike Dean/VAR as its all been done and will go on. We score in that first half and the game is ours as Ole wouldn't have altered his line up and probably would have subbed Fred to get Martial on.

Apart from the Neves leg breaker incident, James’s challenge on Trincao was a clear penalty. Just absolutely wipes him out and no VAR check when the ball was still in play.

It may seem like we’re bad losers but, we’re having no luck at the moment and the officials ain’t helping, seems like they have one brain fart per game and it always costs us

Agree with all this.

End of last season we were a shambles defensively but we’ve looked pretty solid in all three games against top six sides.

I thought all three of Coady, Kilman and Saiss did well today - not ridiculously troubled (Coady done for pace a couple of times but we know that) - Kilman looks a different player.

Even in midfield I thought we looked good - obviously Neves was fantastic but Moutinho was excellent too, getting forward more than he’s ever done.

Didn’t think I’d be saying it (after all the desperation for a CM and CD) but it’s up top we’re not clicking. Just that final ball. It’ll come.

Doesn’t help Bruno that there is, quite literally, nothing game changing on our bench. Felt that Podence, MGW and Fabio did very little of note when they came on.

Can’t remember feeling this positive after losing three on the bounce before.

Took the wrong player off..Trincao was scaring the shit out of them. Raul didn't look right. Should have stuck podence on and gone with a fluid 3, not like we play a style that requires a target man now.
